My mother had to have her gallbladder removed years ago from fad/crash diets in the 70's and early 80's. NOT fun. There are many side effects when you lose weight TOO QUICKLY. Gallbladder issues/gallstones are one of them...losing muscle mass is another. There are more.

I don't lose a steady 1 or 2 pounds per week. My body doesn't work that way. One week I might lose nothing at all, the next week I might lose .5 a pound, and the next week I might lose 3 pounds. The loss per week varies, but if you AVERAGE it over the course of a month, it is pretty close to the 1-2 pounds per week.

I started my weight loss process this time around at about where you are now -147ish. At the beginning I lost around 1 pound per week, then in the last few months I lost between 2-3 pounds on weeks I showed a loss, other weeks I held even or gained a little. It averaged out to just at 1.7 per week for the entire time I was actively dieting and exercising. I don't feel like I suffered any ill effects from the process. I was eating a good diet, getting all of my fruit & veggie servings, a lot of protein, a maintainable exercise program.
