What color?

  • Hi there! I was on the LA Weight Loss orange plan when I was 14, and at the time my mother was on the red plan. I found that the plan was working but ended up losing interest as a kid. Anyways, I'm 18 now and would like to start over. I weigh 220 and would like to lose at least 75 pounds. My LA Weight Loss center isn't open when I am available and I can't afford it either. I still have my mom's red plan book but she was around 50 at the time so I'm thinking the red plan may not be the right one for me. Can anyone help me figure out which plan I should be doing/tell me the daily portions?
  • I am doing red without lites and I am 200 lbs, 30 y/o, 5'6". I did this without a center last time (before I got pg) and was able to lose 35-40 lbs on my own with the help of the people on this board. It can be done!
  • How tall are you??
  • I'm 5'4- Is that all they base the plans on?

Pretty much. If you are breast feeding (sole source) then you get more food and if you work out A LOT then you get more food.

You would be on PLAN 3 with LA Lites right now, so a day on your plan would look like this:

1/2 cup egg beaters, 2 slices turkey bacon, 2 slices light bread, 1 slice 2% cheese, 1.25 cups sliced strawberries with splenda
    (1 protein, 1 starch, 1/2 dairy, 1 fruit)

1 small apple, 1 reduced fat string cheese stick
    (1 fruit, 1/2 dairy)

Large vegetable Salad with 4 oz. grilled chicken breast, 1/4 cup light salad dressing, 5 reduced fat triscuits,15 grapes, 1 yogurt (containing 90-120 calories)
    (2 veggies, 1 protein, 2 fats, 1 fruit, 1 dairy, 1 starch)

    la lite bar or powder

4 oz. baked fish drizzled with lemon juice, 1/2 cup green beans (no fat added), 2/3 cup cooked brown rice
    (1 protein, 1 veggie, 2 starches)
