You and me both!!!

I went to the doc to have all of my Pre-Op preparations done and I think it just made me more stressed and nervous. I stress ate like crazy last night! Me and a bag of Lindor Truffles had a major make out session!

Mama Nicole 01-10-2009 12:26 PM

Kimberly, did I miss something somewhere? You are having surgery?

Yep, Tuesday Im getting the tubes tied. We are happy with our two boys and arent having any more young'ns!

zambejaly5 01-10-2009 06:16 PM

kimberly, why are you going in instead of your hubby? it is so easy for them. my husband went in and by the next day was back to normal. you are going to be hurting for a while

bradleys mom 01-10-2009 08:39 PM

Lettie, I have insurance that will pay for it, he doesnt!

Oh, and btw, a little positivity would be nice, lol! I am prepared for the recovery, I just went through a C-Section! (Also had one with my first DS)

And to answer any questions, I didnt have my tubes tied during my C-Section because I wasnt aware I had to approve it through my insurance at least a month in advance, so I had to wait until they approved it which wasnt until Dec 1, and DS was born November 11.

Hello all..I am happy to report that I completed 12 miles this week with Leslie Sansone! :cb:  :high: :woohoo:

Enjoy the rest of the weekend!

Kimberly: I admire the way you are proactively taking charge of your BC. As old as I am, I still get PG scares every now and then, lol. It seems like it would be a relief to have one less stressor to worry about :D. After the surgery, try not to rush back too quickly to your normal routine...take your time and let your hubby pamper you ;).

Thanks, I needed that today!! We are positive we dont want any more kids, and I am in Nursing school and DH is starting college this fall, so another baby would be a little much!

Dan2112 01-11-2009 04:17 PM

No movement since the initial three, which leads me to believe is was mostly all water.. ah well.. Liz and I are planning a full blown TO tomorrow and Tuesday, so hopefully that will help both of us.

As for the topic on hand, ironically, I have an appointment on Tuesday to see a urologist to talk about me going under the knife. I have mixed feelings about this as I wouldn't mind having more kids but Liz doesn't.. Also, I figured that with all the meds she's one for anxiety and a mild heart condition, I should be the one to do this so it's one less thing for her to have to take...

I'm so selfless I make myself sick...:D:D:D

Kimphin 01-11-2009 06:38 PM

Kimberly - good luck on Tuesday!

Dan- you too!

When my brother decided to ...uh..snip, I wrapped up one of those cone shaped things they put on dogs and sent it to him. It was hysterical.

Great job on the 0 to 20 everyone...stay focused!!

Mama Nicole 01-11-2009 11:12 PM

Oh, poor little Beau :(

Good luck, Kimberly. I know you will breeze through this.....you just had a C-section and bounced right back.....I am sure this will be easier. Does your new baby sleep a lot? I will be crossing my fingers both boys take lots of naps this week :)

Dan......good luck......and let us know how it all goes ;)

Have a good night everyone :)
XOXO

zambejaly5 01-11-2009 11:17 PM

AHHHH what a sweetie!

Kimphin 01-12-2009 08:16 AM

Oh, Nicole - she's just adorable!

OK, the official one week loss for this is .... 7 lbs. I shouldn't have gotten on the scale last Thursday. The majority of the loss showed then, so now, while happy, wish that I had lost more than a pound over the weekend. I realize that I am being unreasonable, but it's still there.

I was POP this weekend, so I am now at 7 days POP! My insides must be very happy.

Congrats on your weekend POP-ness Nicole! Feels good, huh?

Good luck everyone!

WithFaith50 01-12-2009 08:57 AM

Good Morning all! Everyone is doing so well...:cp:

Dan: Your DW is truly blessed, lol! Good luck on TO.
Nicole: Your little one is beautiful...
Kim: Wow! 7 lbs in one week...that's awesome. :bravo:

Today is my weigh-in day and I am officially 241 lbs for a total of 5 lbs for the week.

Have a fantastic week everybody! :D
:dust:

Mama Nicole 01-12-2009 09:36 AM

Congratulations, Kim!!! Don't ya just wish you could lose a pound a day, for like 50 days or so?.

I was very POP over the weekend, but I showed a tiny gain. I am sure TOM has a little something to do with it, since he showed up Saturday morning. I am not going to let it get to me though. I will now stay POPall week, and WI on Friday again. As long as I have at least a half pound loss, I am going to try to be satisfied. Wish me luck on that one.

Wow, WithFaith........that is a great loss!!! Oh, and the little one is my granddaughter. Crazy, I know!
XOXO

Repo girl 01-12-2009 01:16 PM

Hi Everyone! I am down lb pound, so that is something, anyway.

Nicole- How cute!!! Good job staying POP!!!

bradleys mom 01-12-2009 01:47 PM

WOW, Kim Awesome Loss! Good for you!

Thanks for the well wishes everyone! I am a lot more nervous than this thatn I was about my C-Sections. I guess because I am not gaining a baby from this surgery, lol. I am starving, I am on a 48 hour liquid diet to "Prep the Bowels". I have been drinking the heck outta chicken broth. I am so hungry! I am telling the doc he better have me a cheeseburger waiting when I get out of recovery! JK, I am going back OP as soon as I get home!

Mama Nicole 01-12-2009 02:34 PM

48 hours? WHAT? I have never heard of that before surgery. I can imagine being more nervous for surgery than a C-section. I think the anxiousness to meet the baby trumps fear. It will all be ok. Let us know when you are up to it that you are home :)
XOXO

Mama Nicole 01-12-2009 02:35 PM

And Katie....yes, yes.......a loss is a loss is a loss......congratulations!!!! Tell DH to get back to work so we can play with you more .
XOXO

cecil 01-12-2009 03:28 PM

Kim Holy cow! Nice loss! I didn't WI this morning I think I am going to do Wednesday and Friday.

You too Withfaith! Rocking the scale!

Great job staying pop nicole!

I started TO today and I am thinking it was a bad time to do so since I will have a visit from TOM sometime this week as well. UGH!

You are all doing sooo great! Congrats! Doens't it feel good to work hard and see the results!

Dan2112 01-12-2009 05:29 PM

Well, so far so good with TO... Hungry, but surviving.. Staying off the starches, anyway..

How funny.. Liz's TOM is this week too... What? Did you girls all decide to go in on this together?? Geez!

cecil 01-12-2009 05:37 PM

HA! Yeah TO is actually not that bad this time. I was expecting it to be way worse!

Dan, do you use unlimited green veggies 6 oz of Protien and bars?
Or just the first two? That is funny we are all on the same cycle! HA!

Hmmmm... I think Liz might disagree with that statement, literally and figuratively.

cecil 01-14-2009 12:31 PM

OK. I am down 4 lbs! 16 to go! Hope everyone had a great evening!

Kristinx 01-14-2009 12:59 PM

I think I'd like to join in this challenge...I'm a little late, hope that's ok! I really want this first 20 gone fast...actually..I'd like this first 30-40 gone fast haha. I was still overweight in the low 200's but at least I was in normal clothes and felt more comfortable with myself...hoping I'll get there before I head south the first week of April!

Kimphin 01-14-2009 01:01 PM

Cecilia - 4 lbs!!!! Woo hoo!

Kristin - hop in, you're not too late.

cecil 01-14-2009 01:14 PM

Whoo hoo to you Kim! You are rocking this race to 20! I better step it up! HA!

Dan2112 01-14-2009 01:26 PM

Way to go y'all!!

WithFaith50 01-14-2009 03:29 PM

Great work everybody! :carrot:

Did anyone watch the Biggest Loser last night? I'm not sure if it's inspiring or depressing...:(

Charlene

Kimphin 01-14-2009 05:27 PM

I'd say it was depressingly inspiring.

BlueAngel1 01-15-2009 07:52 AM

I don't miss it! I think it's very inspiring and I am amazed at the weight these peeps lose in a week! Of course, they exercise (hard) for 6-8 hours a day..... which would be excrutiating to me, lol! I end up with my favorites that I cheer for, but it also makes me ashamed of myself for being so wimpy in the exercise department. If I were on the show, I'd be the smallest one there and they ALL kick my butt in exercise........ 300 - 400+ lbs...... it's amazing what they can do!

Kristinx 01-15-2009 08:34 AM

First weigh in after 2 days of fast forward...down 4 lbs! Now I'm moving to the regular program and it seems like a daunting task to get ALL this food in today.

cecil 01-15-2009 10:45 AM

Kristin Way to go! You are doing great!

Dan2112 01-15-2009 11:01 AM

Five pounds down as of today..

Way to go everyone!!! Keep it up!

Mama Nicole 01-15-2009 11:57 AM

wow, congratulations everone...........what a great group of losers. I guess we all like a race, don't we.......great idea Lettie :) I sooo wanted to WI, but my official WI days are Tuesdays and Fridays. So, tomorrow is my big day :) Hang tough everyone!!!
XOXO

cecil 01-15-2009 01:21 PM

Great job Dan!

Nicole, can't wait to see your update tomorrow!

Hope everyone is having a great day!

Mama Nicole 01-16-2009 12:28 PM
