Lean Muscle Meals and Fiber Supplements
I have had an awful time trying to stay away from sweets and carbs and I am a diabetic (type II). I stopped in GNC and was given some advise on Saturday - to use a lean muscle meal for breakfast (powder mixed w/water) with vitamens and a fiber capsule daily. It does seem to already be helping with cravings. Has anyone tried this type of program?

I do believe that a good amount of protein works really well to curb cravings and help with weight loss, but I cannot use protein drinks as meal substitutes. I know myself and I need the tactile experience of eating food for a meal in order to be satisfied.
I get my morning protein via eggs or yogurt or oats w/ cheese ... something like that. That's not to say I don't use protein powder - I do a protein powder drink right after I workout every day. But that's as a snack, not as a meal. However ... if it works for you, I'd say stick with it. :) We're all so different and we all have to find what makes it easier for us. . |
