Figured it out!

Hi folks,

I figured out that with 33 pounds to loose, I should start on the Purple plan, and then switch to the Gold plan after I loose 10 pounds. I'm starting at 183 pounds, with a goal weight of 150 pounds.

Since I simply cannot afford the $15.00 a week that our local center wants for a basic plan, I am going to go this on my own for a while and see what happens!

Question? Do I have the breakdown for the Purple plan correct?
2P, 4 V, 3Fr, 2 St, 1 D, 1Fat plus 2 Luna bars.

Also, could someone guide me in the right direction to where I can find serving sizes for some basics? I know that for fish and poultry, 4 oz is a serving, and for beef and pork, 3 oz is a serving. Other than those, I'm having a tough time finding a basic list to get started....anyone who can help? Or share what they've collected. My email address is [email protected]

Thanks so much....I plan to do the Take-off (using the Knudsen's Simply Nutritious Morning Blend juice, if I can find it locally!!) this week.

I'm really ready to commit, and am not going to let the fact that I cannot afford to go through the center stop me!

Thanks in advance all. I'd like to point out that this forum is FABULOUS!!!! I read all the posts for as far back as I could read them....everyone here seems to be sooooooooo friendly and helpful! It's nice to see so many other people striving for a like goal in life!

I bought all of the plans off ebay for $25. The other servings you listed seem to be correct. Most veggies are half cup cooked, one cup raw. Fruits- one small orange, 15 small strawberries, half of a banana...any specific ones you wanted to know? Chicken is 8 oz. On the one I have, it says fish is around 7 oz, depending on which kind...and beef is 6 oz. Pasta or rice is 1/3 cup, half of a bagel or english muffin.

Hi there,

On the coloured plans the protein servings are actually larger (well for the purple plan anyway, gold the serving sizes drop down). I believe it's 8oz and 6 oz and those are raw weights....numbered plan uses cooked weights...
As for the exchanges I think that is right. I'd have to double check my book at home.
