Sun chips... Yes or No!
 
here are the nutritional info from French onion sun chips. I was wondering if we coudl have them? I hear yes from one counsellor and then no form another.
What do you think?

I would count 1 oz as 1.5 starches. I do this w/ breads, tortillas, ice cream & other starches. I was told 1 starch s/b between 80-100 calories.

It's not "techincally" on plan and is probably higher in sodium than we should have, but if you want it, plan for it. Just use it as an occasional.

Secretly... Mmmmmmmm!

It's easy to look at "healthy" snacks and try to rationalize eating them, but in reality, they don't have enough fiber or protein.. And they have WAY too much salt and fat...

I do give them a lot of credit for using solar power to bake them...

Dee, I've had them in a 100 calorie pack (they are kind of like miniature sun chips) and I counted that as one starch and considered it along the lines of a treat. One of their use infrequently type of items.
