It's so motivating to read about you guys who are close to your goal - that's great!!!

I'm looking forward to a good week. I have a wedding to go to on Saturday and I had wanted to lose 10lbs this month before the wedding. I'm pretty close and tonight I totally kicked it at the gym. I was walking/running on the treadmill for 50 minute and got up to running at 7mph minutes (not a lot of minutes but I got up there a few times). It felt awesome, I could go back and do it again right now.

Good day to all. Yesterday I took the day off and drove my friend visiting from Canada around in my convertible. We went wine tasting and sat out on the patio for lunch. Feeling a little wind blown but glad to have nice weather again.

Jillian, I am so proud of you! I was on plan 3 no lights or plan 2 with lights at 185-175#. I dropped myself down to plan 2 no lites at 175#.

You know I used to hate looking at myself in the mirror. Now I do not mind so much. I hope to never go back.

G'day, all. Yesterday sucked so bad for me that I didn't even want to bother reading the forums. I found out that someone I knew passed away on Friday. It was so sudden, too... she was only 25, just had a baby a few months ago, and was supposed to get married next month. I'm heading off to her funeral, which is hawaiian-themed. They forbade black.

I'm still in shock about her passing away....I saw her last month, and she was fine. We were talking about a event for that night, and I was planning on going, but changed my mind at last minute....she was happy the last time I saw her.

Debbie-I actually met my goal last June. I had surgery and had to be put on hold so that delayed stabilization and maintenance. I’ve been doing maintenance for 6 months. Just changed my ticker when I went up a couple of pounds! LOL So I’ve met my goal several times :lol:

I believe it is time to have a tiny celebration for Jillian. 60 lbs is AWESOME!!!!! I call it a tiny party because she is getting smaller by the day. Jillian.....you should be so proud!!!! I am wondering if you are heartsick though.......and I hope you are taking good care of yourself. I was reading last week's threads and I noticed your ticker. I am super d duper excited for you! Before you know it, we are all going to have to start sending you your, "I'm so glad you're not a fatty anymore," cards!!! Keep up the good work :) You are going to blow DH's mind!!!

Katie......so glad you got your new puppy. I can't wait to see his pictures!!! I made the laundry soap this weekend. I just put a load to go a little while ago......so I will let you know how it goes. I am super excited about it. DH helped me make it, and he is excited too.........especially after we figured out the cost!!!

Amy/Jersey - Thanks for the compliments on the boys :). Maintenance would be in sight but i'm planning on extending my goal once i hit 135. We'll see.

Good Morning Everyone. I have been lurking but not posting much. Sorry, but I haven't had a lot of interesting information to contribute and WL has been non-existant.

Congrats to Debbie, Jillian, etc. on the losses. I am still trying to get focused, but its April so its time.

Star - I am so sorry about your friend to. 25 is too young to go and especially leaving a baby and future DH behind. I wish you comfort and peace in the loss of your friend.

This weekend is my 18th wedding anniversary. Yea!!! We are going to spend a quite weekend at the lake cabin and just relax away from the house.

O.K. So now I am going to rant for a bit. I have two boys 17 & 15. They have had the speach just about weekly about babies, etc. But, yesterday when talking to a friend of mine, she asked me what was up with the 15 year old. She had heard that his girlfriend thought she was pregnant and was going to be taking a test over the weekend. They have been dating almost a year. They both just turned 15!!!!!. I didn't panic, cause it came from a girl who is jealous of them and wants to be his girlfriend, so.... I had the discussion with both boys again and learned way to much from both of them. My oldest one goes to his room only to return with what I would call a case of condoms. I know it is not right and they are way to young, but at least some of what I am saying is sinking in. Sshe wasn't pregnant by the way and didn't know anything about it, which was what I thought, but maybe it was time for me to learn of their extra curricular activities.

And last but not least, I have activity on the Log Cabin!! They started the foundation yesterday and building is still scheduled for Mid-May. Translate - its time to start writing the checks!

Wow.........Amy..........isn't motherhood a blast????? It is good you talk to them, may parents do not. It is so hard to know that we can teach them and teach them and teach them........and then we have to let go and let them make their own mistakes though, isn't it? Great news on the cabin :)

Debbie.....I am with you.......hanging out with my boys, and trying sooo hard to stay OP. We can do this........we can do this!!!

Katie.......have you ever made soap or shampoo or anything? I am thinking of dabbling......but I have to see if I can find a place that sells lye. Do you think the hardware store would have it? If anyone knows, let me know :)

nicole--you're so sweet! :) i'm touched by how concerned everyone's been for me. and i'd like to let you all know that i'm doing better. i decided about a month ago that i was going to be the strong successful military wife instead of the mopey military wife. i'm too strong of a person to let this get to me like it was and i'm embracing my independence as best as i can and i don't want to have DH worrying about if i'm doing ok..so i decided that i'm going to look at this being apart in a positive way and i've found a great military spouses message board that gives me some support too. i've decided to take this time to work on ME stuff physically and mentally. i know i'm going to come out of this a stronger and better person/mother/wife and DH is going to be so freakin' proud of me for doing so well in all aspects of life by the time he returns. i send him pics of me all the time and he's blown away! wait til he sees me in person!

so yeah..enough of my rambling. i just wanted to give an update on me and what's going on with me in the DH being away department! :)

Nicole - We can do this!!. Do you have a michaels craft store near you? They have lots of stuff to make soaps, candles and other crafts. I'm sure they will have the lye there. I was thinking of making soaps & wax candles but never got around to it. I did make gel candles a few times and they were so cute. i basically only had to put it together, no melting wax or anything. Michaels is definitly a fun store. Hope you have one near by if not check to see if you have any type of craft store and they should have what you are looking for. Have fun!

Katie -congrats on the new addition! I love chihuahuas.....they are so cute. I've always wanted a small dog, but my luck w/ them has not been good. We've tried a Cockapoo & a Puggle and had to rehome them both. I couldn't get them housebroken. We're "big dog" people I think 'cuz we both work all day. The little ones just can't hold it that long. They are so cute though!!

Oh well, my labs are pretty convinced they are lap dogs. They have no idea they weigh 100 lbs each. My black one was all excited to see me the other day and literally jumped in my lap as I was sitting on the bed taking off my shoes. He totally knocked me over. Thank god I was sitting down! I joke that he has springs in his butt 'cuz he's all boingy. He'll be on the floor one minute and up in the windowsill the next. He gets bouncing around the yard so hard sometimes it looks like his back legs are going to go over his head and he's going to do a reverse back flip. It's really funny.

TOM for me so the scale was up a bit today. I'm down 5 lbs since last Tuesday though so I'm not sweatin' it.

Going to COD over lunch. I haven't been forever. I really kind of want to stop going, but I think my mother would kill me since she paid for this whole thing. And I guess I need to keep on it so I know when to step down. They really don't do much for me. Hop on the scale, look at my journal, ask if I need to buy anything..same thing every time. I'm there for 5 minutes and it takes me 20 to drive there. I get all my support from y'all and my family.

Nicole- I hope that you like the laundry soap! It is funny that you should ask, because I made shampoo and conditioner yesterday. My hair feels really different today. I will keep using it for a few days and let you know what I think of it. I am still not sure today if I am going to like it. I also learned how to make deoderant, so as soon as I can buy the supplies, I am going to try it. I have read way too much bad PR about deoderant sticks.

Jillian- Good for you! 60 lbs, plus a new outlook on life! I am truly proud of you!

Jill- We are really loving him. He is such a sweet little cuddly guy.

Debbie- I could drop a whole paycheck at Michaels in a hurry. They are an awesome store!
