web based trackers other than Fit Day ( mynetdiary? )

  • Haven't posted in a while and man have I gained a LOT of weight since then. OOf.

Anyway, I have used the downloaded version of fitday and liked it, up to a point. They haven't updated the software in years and as an IT person that really puts me off.

I got an iPhone and have been traveling a lot lately. I really can't rely on getting stuff into my laptop and really need to be able to use my iPhone. I have been looking at different solutions, including mynetdiary, and was looking for input before I commit to one. I did a few searches on the forum but the search won't let you use 3 letter terms and the one search every 60 seconds is making it impossible to retry multiple times and I am just getting frustrated.

ANYWAY... what I am looking for:

It needs to be web based, or at least have web entry available and NOT flash because iPhones don't do flash.

I want a good database of foods and exercises but really need to be able to add my own as well.

If I can have multiple goals for different dates that would be great.

I really don't mind paying if it's good enough.

Honestly I doubt I will ever find something perfect, unless I code it myself, but I just don't have time right now and would appreciate your input.
  • I am using my daily plate. They do have a purchase-able version for mobile phones. I don't know about all the other IT stuff b/c I am a Luddite.
  • I use MFD (Myfooddiary.com) . It's $9 per month and very versatile.
  • I use the free version of thedailyplate.com and really like it.
  • Sparkpeople.com is a good site also.
  • i'm a www.thedailyplate.com user and love it!
  • I use spark people also.
  • Spark was too busy, dailyplate didn't have good enough tracking tools, Myfooddiary only lets you set a goal of 1.1 pounds a week when 2 is perfectly fine.

    Guess I'll keep looking. *sigh*
  • I use http://caloriecount.about.com/ . It is a free site & I am able to find any foods I eat, add my own recipies, etc. I like it.
