A couple of them he bought new, some used at the video store. Not all of them came with equipment so he also got me, a set of 1.5 lb hand weights with straps, a set of 2 lb hand weights and some stretchy things. I said, " Do you know what I want for Valentines day?" He started to laugh and said what. I said I want her exercise ball video and an exercise ball. He just smiled and said no problem. Talk about supportive. |

Darn nice to see you back. Hope you enjoyed yourself. Bet you even joyed what put that bit of weight on. No problem, we all deserve a bit of a fling. NOW get back on track and that weight will come right back off. You know you can do it, I know you can do it. |
Shy, yeah I am drinking TONS of water today to flush all the bad things out....(lord knows that there are a LOT of bad things..lol) And I am eating right today....Small portions/healthy food!

I will flush out the sugar cookies with tea and mountain dew lol. Just kidding on the dew. Had more than enough of it this week. I am down a lb so none of it must have hurt me. Was pretty darn happy I hit my Christmas day goal of 159. What I have found is that I can eat a ton more than what I thought I could and still lose weight lol. Today is " get back to normal " day. I like the control lol. I feel better getting those required amounts of the four basic food groups in me and not a bunch of junk. I bet I ate 3 dozen sugar cookies lol. Can't feed people stuff you haven't tryed you understand. One from every dozen I baked lol. Not really that many but I sure did eat a ton of them the last few days. |
Shy, that's great that your hubby is so supportive!!! Mine comes and goes on being supportive. I can relate about the cookies. lol I ended up doing up gift boxes of cookies and breads and taking them around to the neighbors. Also took some to my 90+ year old aunt. Took her some deviled eggs also.
Still, I'm with you about getting back with it. Everytime I get my meds changed, I swear I gain weight. I've had it changed twice in the past couple of months. No good on the weight. Water has been my problem lately. I haven't been drinking enough and I know it. Too much diet soda, and even some real Pepsi. We are in Michigan tonight. We had a great meal at our favorite restaurant here. I didn't overeat like I usually do there. It's famous for chicken, I had broiled whitefish. Yummy!!! I plan to hit the outlet mall tomorrow!!! |

Lets put it this way. I am his life. When he is home I literally trip over him. I am the world and the stars and sometimes that is a lot to live up to lol. Yes, he is supportive. |
Shy, your hubby sounds pretty special! Lucky girl you!!
We slept late today, missed breakfast here at the hotel. Went for lunch and then hit the big Christmas store. I could have spent oodles and oodles because I saw so many things that I like, but since we've downsized our home, I don't have as many trees or as much space as we used to have. I bought one ornament for me - a s'more Santa. Bought Tim a Boy Scout ornament, and he bought his girlfriend something. My back started hurting pretty bad, so we came back to the hotel, I took some medicine and slept for a while. We have other shops to hit, then eat supper, then we'll hit the outlet mall. I've talked to hubby at least 5 times since we left home yesterday morning. I think he misses me! It really is amazing how protective he has become since he was sick in September. I'm still amazed at the rings I got for Christmas even though I helped pick it out. I swear it wasn't this pretty and fancy when we looked at it in the store. The wedding band has diamonds halfway around it, kind of like an anniversary ring. The other ring has a single diamond with smaller diamonds on each side. I've never owned a diamond, so I'm feeling like a new bride!! lol Hope everyone else is recuperating from all of the Christmas cheer!! |

I hate being away from my husband even for a second. He works out of town so I only get to see him one day a week and on weekends. I bet your husband does miss you. The rings, wow how nice. They do seem more special and more wonderful when they are on your hand don't they. |
well I was right GAINED 5lbs, so my ticker is a liar again..but I think it will come back off easy since it is holiday weight....I have been VERY good all week now so maybe by next weigh in I will be back to ticker weight
|

You are right, that weight will come back off. Just get back on the wagon, make sure you have a comfy spot on the seat and away you go. I never know if everyones tickers are right or not lol. So many of you don't change them up or down when your weight changes lol. |
Shy, I can understand why your hubby wants to be with you since he is gone so often. Bob worked 2nd shift for many years, and really the only time that I saw him was on weekends.
I used to change my ticker every time I had a gain or a loss. I decided it was taking me too much time since I was weighing every day. I haven't weighed since before Christmas, so I a bit afraid of the scales right now. I was at the rheumatologist last week, and my weight was down from last Feb. when I was there. She was pleased with that. I think it was about 12 pounds down, so that's close to the ticker. Took all of the ornaments off of my big tree today. It still has lights on, so it is still pretty. I want it completely down before my son heads back to school on Wed. morning. Hope you are all having a good weekend!!! |
I do an official weigh in every two weeks. Now, if we happen to be at the docs office more often than that I will do a weigh in. I now have a scale in the house so I don't have to go out in the cold weather. I am pretty darn lucky because it is exactly on what the docs scale says. I am going to be able to use it for the biggest loser challenge. I am still going to keep my official weigh in every two weeks and that is when I will change my ticker. Weight fluctuates to much to be looking at the scale everyday and worrying what it says. That is the reason I never owned one. May find I give the darn thing away and go back to doing a weigh in every two weeks at the docs office. We shall see.

Ok. I got weighed this morning. It wasn't pretty. I'll try to keep from weighing for at least a week, and then I'll change my tracker thing. Too many goodies over the holidays. I won't be taking the scales to GA, so I'll have about 6 weeks without weighing. Wonder if that's a good thing????
I told Bob last night that we really need to decide when we are leaving. The dog isn't going with us, and I need to let the doggy hotel know the exact date. No son and no dog for 6 weeks. This is going to be hard. Our son is flying down for a weekend while we are there, so I guess it won't be 6 weeks without seeing him. I am such a wuss!! |
Tammy
Don't worry about the gain. You will get back on track and that weight will come right back off. Haven't forgotten you just haven't gotten the package in the mail yet. Sounds like you have a nice time planned. Away from it all. I would die if I didn't see my cat for 6 weeks lol. |
