I'm not on LA Weight Loss, but I get a really good low fat feta from WalMart. It's Treasure Cave brand.

Here's the nutritional info for 1/4 cup

60 cal
3.5 fat
2 sat. fat
carb 1
protein 6

Lots of times I'll just eat 1/8 of a cup (only 30 calories and lots of flavor!) or I do use the full quarter cup if it's a big salad. I eat it probably 5x a week! I hope you're allowed to have it! By the way, it tastes just as good as full fat feta I've had.

That's good to know Mandalinn.. I'll have to search that out..

I loves me some feta cheese and while our COD (when we had one) never said we couldn't, I just kind of assumed that it wasn't the best thing we could eat..

I still used it on salads and stuff, but tried to contol my use quite a bit.

The thing to remember that true feta is packed in brine, which ups the sodium content considerably. So use with a lot of moderation...

I think there is a recipe in the LAWL cookbook that calls for feta cheese. I don't have it in front of me, but I believe it's a Greek Pita sandwich??
