This thread is to congratulate Dan on his (more than) 100 lbs loss on the plan so far! At Nicole's suggestion, I've whipped up a little cake to celebrate. It has 25 calories per 8oz serving, 12 grams of fibre, no carbs, and of course, no sodium. Feel free to eat as much as you like!

Wow guys (gals, I mean).. I'm totally humbled by this... I'm sorry I didn't check in here sooner, but we've been on the go so much, I hadn't had a chance to do more than post in the daily thread..

Angie, I'm honored that you thought to do this, and I'm COMPLETELY jealous that you've met Geddy Lee.

Obviously a lot of this is will power and perserverance, but I have to thank you all, and Liz especially for being a constant source of inspiration and support... There are few things in my life that I've undertaken beside marriage and parenthood that have required so much patience (wait, let me say that differently :lol:), and self determination. It's been amazing to see what we as humans can do when we put our minds to it and just decide that NOW IS THE TIME!!!

The arguement could be made that sites like this, where people come together are little more than an extension of our social lives, where we come to chat and have self pity parties when we're feeling "off plan".. But I think it's WAY more than that... I've found that this is a place where we can share our stories, triumphs, failures and fears and not have to worry about judging eyes or condecending statements...

When I hear my friends and co-workers marvel at the the losses Liz and I have enjoyed, part of me wonders what they thought of me before all of this...But here, we're all in the same boat and the congratulations seem somehow more sincere.

Thanks again, all of you.. It really feels good to know that we made the right choice with LAWL (bad local management aside) and I know I'll be sharing in the praises when you all reach your goals as well..

Keep it up my friends.. It should be painfully obvious that if I can do it, EVERYONE can!!!
