Steph - remember that YOU are the customer! I agree with what was said earlier, that if you're not satisfied with what the COD is telling you, call the 800 number. :goodluck: and keep us posted! :)

Steph - I am trying to stay positive and am giving this an honest shot. I know how you feel. Positive thinking goes a long way, but it is hard to stay positive when you feel like you are being ignored. Let us know how things go at COD. I really am hoping that they start to listen and care, and work with you. One of the draws LAWL uses is the one-on-one personal weigh ins and counselling. We pay for that, and we should get that. We don't pay for an old record whining out a script from a book...
Katy - I am just starting the numbered plans, so really have to wait and see what I weigh next week (giving it at least a week, time for my body to adjust). I am weighing in today, but have decided to use next Wednesday's weigh in as a better gauge. I have only lost about 8 lbs in past three months, of which I have put 3 lbs back on. I follow plan to a T, but without a lot of success. I have tried switching foods, adding exercise, etc. Hoping today's weigh in isn't too brutal. I am scared of getting back into the 200's again with this new diet. If scale reads high 190's I think I will cry. I am prepared for it though as my scale at home read 198.8 this morning. |
I am really to the point that I will tell them to call there dietican if there is a gain today.

So how did it go today? Man! I am so scared to start this new plan. My counselors are still giving me the confused/tight lipped response when I ask when we start the "new" plan. They just changed the name to Pure weight loss last week.

I actually never got there yesterday as planned, I had to take my 10ds to the doctor. He has strep throat and by the time I had got out of there and went and picked up his medicine it was almost 5pm and I had dinner guests coming around 6pm so that shot that in the rear. I am going bright and early today as you can see its 7am. I will post when I get back this afternoon, this is my grocery shopping day!

well I lost a bit more as of today 8/11
Went into COD today and the scale showed I lost 1lb since Wednesday. Well that is 2lbs this week then. I will be honest when i say I am still leary but I am feeling better about this new plan. 2 loses in 1 week has not happened to me since the new plan was taken in effect for me personally.
I hope you other girls start to show a lose if its been on hold lately, I can tell you its taken me 1 month to start to lose again. I start a new calendar book tommorow. I will keep you all posted as well. they tried selling me some stuff today and I finally told them . If you guys would not be asking me all the time if I want all these things I would probably buy it. When the pressure is there I am instantly turned off. I said this only because the person that I am not fond of was there and she sold me some bars and she said just 1 box?? I said I will be in next week too, plus next week you are giving a discount so why buy more then I have to today?? SHe offered the discount to me but I said no because her tone was suggesting I was a cheapskate ( which I am not). I just don't like her much and don't buy from her unless I have to. We are getting 5% discount on products in the store next week Mon-Wed. donate A back to school item and get 5% off, its not much but with there prices every little bit helps! |
Steph and Patsy, Sorry to hear you are still struggling to get someone to listen to you with the new plan. I have been on the new plan for 3 freakin weeks and I have stayed exactly the same weight. Today my favorite counselor closed her door and told me that if I would substitute one of my lites -bar for a shake
I would lower my calorie intake by 100 calories a day. I said I already prepaid for the bars and I can't spend anymore $. She said "oh you can choose from any of the lites, soups, shakes, teas, etc. You don't just have to stick with the bars!" I was kind of a little pissed cause nobody ever told me that the shakes were an option....or the soups! I am going to try her suggestion and have one bar a day and one shake. I am also a little frustrated with the new plan and not losing on it. Steph, I still think you are on the wrong one. Keep fighting!!!! Anyhow, just had to vent.:p |
I know I deep tdown stil think the same thing as far as being on the wrong one. SHe said why not do a take off? I said because I should not need to do that every 2 weeks! Ihad NEVER did any take off until last week other then when I started.
It seems really pointless to a extent I feel like I am talking to myself! I am glad I lost amother pound don't get me wrong but I still think they are wrong with the plan they have given me. Does anyone have plan 2 so I can actually compare 2 and 3 ??? If so PM me please so I can do a real comparison. I was beyond annoyed when they tried to sell me Take OFF, I said well when I am done on the program I SHOULD NOT have to worry about that type of thing. I am not going to live my life doing TO every couple weeks, thats just STUPID. Keep me posted how it goes everyone?? It just seems sometimes liek your the only one who is struggling with the NEW plan makes me wonder whats wrong with me, ya know??? |

I guess purple = plan 2. The counsellor who I sat with when they brought in the numbered plans refused to put me on plan 2 as she said I had been switched to purple too early. She was who I seen on Friday. She said that I was losing on purple (had stalled on red for three months), and that if I don't lose anything or gain by next Friday (one week) - they would put me on plan 2. I explained I was willing to give it a shot for a week, that maybe my body just had to adjust, but I was curious to see if it would work because plan 3 added 250 calories a day. So, five more days to go to see how this thing goes. My scale is showing slight increases everyday.
Noelle, I hope switching to the shakes helps you out. Nice to have that extra variety too. Steph - glad to hear the scale moving in right direction for you. I agree that you shouldn't have to do takeoff every two weeks. Optional yes, but shouldn't have to in order to maintain weight loss. I am sure you mentioned it earlier in the post - but are you doing the lites? If you are doing the lites, why are you on plan 3? I am not doing lites and I am on plan 3, and am told close to the cutoff for plan 2... Before switching were you on red or purple? I was told that purple was now plan 2... If you are doing lites, I would push them to call the dietician. Sorry if this was all answered before - I am on dial up and it takes so long to go back and read through posts...hoping to get high speed soon... |
Can I just phone into the dietican myself?? I think its really nuts the way this is going to be honest. I have to admit while I have lost I have not always ate everything on the plan because I was so annoyed with them ignoring me as it seems they do.
I am on lites yes always was I was purple with lites and now plan 3 with lites . I think I should just start out tommorow with plan 2 and go with it a screw what they are telling me if I can not call the dietican myself, I want one on one not me and the dietican and the "counslor". However I also don't want the dietican calling where I go , so they then act like total A$$ES to me either. Well I will go on Tuesday and get weighed in and see whats up. Is there a 800 # I can call for the dietican?? |
Steph- Look at the phone # on the boxes of lites. You should be able to speak to the dietician yourself. Explain your frustration without trashing your center, and she will be able to help you. She will contact your center with whatever changes she wants you to make, but that should not anger your center.

Steph, I am sorry to hear you are having such a rough time with the COD. While my COD hasn't been listening to me or been overly helpful over past few months, at least are still very pleasant to me. I dread the scale, but not speaking with the counsellors.
Do you only have the one center near to you? Perhaps a transfer would be in order. At the very least, try to avoid that counsellor. It sounds like she stresses you out more than helps you. Some of the clients at my center will specify which counsellor they would like their appointment/weigh in with. Personally - I think it beneficial to deal with only one or two counsellors. Problem is when you see someone different each time, and their isn't a familiarity with your file, you kinda get lost in the shuffle. If you have a counsellor you like, stick with her. The other counsellor's noses should not be put out of joint. Mentallity is part of the weight loss battle. If you are stressed out and upset - your body is more likely to hold on the weight (at least has been my experience). As a client - your satisfaction should be first in their minds!! If you call the dietician, let us know how it works out. My fingers are crossed for you!! |
Hi all!!
Well i went in for my WI yesterday and spoke to the manager at my center about my plan. I was due for a 4 week review so it worked out good and didn't look like i was slamming anyone... anyway I just told her about my concerns that I have been gaining and losing the same 2 lbs for 2 weeks now - anyway she changed my plan a little bit - I was on the plan 3 with lites - now I am still on plan 3 however she wants me to do the drink mixes in water instead of my lites and then to stay away from the LAWL breakfast bars and also bananas.. SO we will see if this works - she said its possible that I am more sensitive to the complex sugars/carbs - and that could be why i am having a slow weight loss on this plan.. we shall see! I will give this a try but i am still leery at the 4 starches per day on my plan - i really think i can do without 1 of those. Is anyone else drinking the drink mixes? Anyone else having a slow loss on this plan? I am glad that the manager there reviewed my file as I was getting frusterated with the 2lb up and down... on a good note though i have lost a lot of inches - about 4.5 inches since i started 4 weeks ago - so that is a good thing! |
