Challenging Weekend
This has been a hard weekend but I think I did o.k. My husband and I took my son and three other teenagers to Six Flags (Atlanta) for my son's 18th b'day. While my hubby and I did NOT go to the park with the kids, it was two days in a hotel and out and about in ATL. I packed a few LA Lite Bars, and some fruit and that did help. I was proud of myself today at the mall. Everyone had ice cream from the food court and I pulled out a box of raisins and ate those. Was it hard? Yes! But only for those few minutes while everyone else had their ice cream. The rest of the day I was SO glad I didn't give in! I had to eat out most of the weekend but I always ordered water and ate lots of salads (with fat free dressing on the side) and grilled chicken! If I can make it a whole weekend on the road, I can make it through! Tomorrow is my 30th day on the program! :)

Marley..........that is what we like to call NSV's (non sclae victories)! Good for you.......it does feel good, doesn't it?
Carrie........we go to Germany on September 27 :) I am very excited, and quite anxious. I have never left my two little ones for more than 24 hours......and that first 24 hours was like a month ago. Also, I am not a fan of flying.......eeeek. Best of luck to everyone tomorrow for WI. I can't really post my official WI until I get home, but I am pretty sure this sclae of my sister's is pretty close. I know I don't have a net loss since the beginning of this challenge, but I do know I kicked some butt this weekend, and should see some improvement from my week of binging here at my mama's house :) See you all tomorrow :) XOXO |

I wrote this in another post... My goal this week is to get the scale back down to 160 by next week. My plan of attack is to up my cardio, do weight training every other day, abstain from any alcoholic fruits and starches, limit myself to two frozen lunch / dinners this week and only 1 Lite per day. I'm spearheading the Chicks to the Finish challenge, and in four weeks I've lost a total of maybe two pounds...great leader I have turned out to be! I will do better for the team! My 7/16 BNWI was 193.8.
I had a good weekend. Friday after work I went to a neighborhood in town and rollerbladed for 35 minutes. Saturday I took a 1.5hr walk with my friend and my Malamutes. Sunday I took a 2 mile jog in the morning ! It was a good weekend for eating too, I did eat a little much on Saturday for supper, but I think it all worked out in the end. Good thing is my old PT emailed me today - asking if she can exchange PT for me helping them train their new puppy ! Yippee, can't turn that down ! |

I can't wait to get started with her again. The last time I had her as a PT was when I was doing that contest for the radio station.
I'll share any tips she gives me ! When I first met her I kinda chuckled - she reminded me of Jillian on Biggest Loser ! |
Today's WI = 159.8...30 pounds gone...WOOHOO!!! Plus that puts me at "half way" to goal! :carrot:
Nicole - no hot skydiver instructor:( Actually, my DH and I have a friend who is a pilot and on weekends he flies the plane for the jumpers. He said that he will take me up for a ride to see what it will be like - that will make or break my decision to do it:) $275 so far? Wow!! You're right Joni, I will have some left over even with the video...notice I said "will" and not "would"...I'm in the zone too, Chickies... Seriously, I've said this time and time again, but I could not and would not have come this far without all of you! :hug: |

GAME ON....What did you do last week to lose 3 lbs? I need to know cause I want to lose 3 this week!!! Suffice it to say guys that we better watch out for Emmy's mom....I think she posted all those cute pictures of her little one to take away from the fact that's she's kicking butt in this challenge. 21 weeks and 2 days remain...can she keep it up????? Wendelina and Snowdogs...Today's mail made you two "official." I know there are a couple more coming in....we're at 325...........cha ching cha ching |

Joni - I don't know if this is what helped me this past week or not, but I tried to mix up my foods a little from what I would normally have. Like instead of my normal waffle w/cream cheese and jelly every morning, I had cereal on 2 days. On Saturday, I had some pancakes for breakfast as a carb craver. When I made my HLW, I put a wedge of the lemon in with it before I heated it. Just some little changes, but I guess they helped.
