LAWL bought out?
 

Help! I've been on haitus for 4 months-went back to my center and the name has changed!

Changed to what? Some folks said earlier the name was changing to Family Weight Loss. My Georgia centers are still LAWL and they are advertising that, so not all have changed. You are probably affiliated with a franchise. Hey, at least they didn't close their doors down like Dan and Liz's COD.

I live near Orlando. What a time to take off. In the past 4 months LAWL said they were going out of business in Central FL in early April. I bought cases of LA lites and other stuff for 75% off, said good bye to everyone.We were to switch to LAWL online. Then they called almost the next business day and said they were staying in business. From April until about 2 weeks ago the center ran kind of half heartedly with different corporate people coming and going. Finally they reopened as Pure Weight Loss, a sister corporation.

I was told that the local franchisee basically left and corporate came in to run the 7 Central FL franchises. Alleghedly our contracts are still valid, I have been going. It is not ideal, everyone is brand new and doesn't know exactly what they are doing but it is better than nothing. It is run pretty much like old LAWL.

So just stop in and they should have your old LAWL file and you can pick up where you left off.

I live in cleveland ohio. First they closed the doors at the one I went to, but we were sent to other center in the area, but they are not as close. Today they told that they change names to Pure Weight Loss, but everything was going to stay the same. Atleast today the same people were there.

My 2 local centers here in southeast Pa.(right outside of Phila.) are all still LAWL and they adversie as such on our tv.

Thanks everyone. It was so disheartening..but I will stick with it and lose what I gotta:)
