Using phenteremine & xenical combination
xenical, which absorbs 30% of the fat you take in, is going to be over the counter this month, hopefully and a lot cheaper, too, has the side effect of creating oily stools, but at this point, its helping, so I dont care. the phenteremine is mildly suppressing my appetite and helpful in reducing my interest in my favorite foods.
But the biggest help has been my attitude change, I had to do something about my bad attitude.
I started a class at Kaiser called "Healthy WAys" which my doctor insisted that I do, because I wanted a lapband procedure, wailing that I couldnt do it on my own now that I have arthritis and fibro, yadayada, a convenient excuse to take an easier route, I thought.
IN the class, I caught attitude all around me and then recognized my own. so I did a self talk, all about how this was good for me. and I wanted to do it. so I set a small goal, just go for ten lbs. try to change the attitude, and develope a habit of chosing better, and eating smaller portions, and not eating at night. and not drinking any calories.
so I cut my subway sandwich in half and then halved it again, and actually measured my cereal to a cup, and was okay with it.
slowly, my ability to eat large portions changed, and three months and thirty pounds later, I am living on 800-1000 cals a day and walking 2 miles three times a week and feeling no arthritis, no fibro, I can bend over to tie my shoes, scratch my own back, turn around in the drivers seat of the car to see behind me, and I feel really good. I am loving getting on the scale. its exciting to watch tenths of a pound come off.
when I get stuck for three weeks at a time, at the same weight, or gain a couple pounds because I had too many calories, i walk my walk two days in a row, drink the water, and dont have dinner, no matter what, and it comes off. and I drop into another five pound goal.
the bigger thing is that I am now hooked into this eating healthy and feeling good, I tried to go through macdonalds the other day to have a cheeseburger fries and a coke and I couldnt do it. I knew I was going to have to fight the following week to get off the weight.
so I opted for a grilled plain chicken sandwich.....and enjoyed it.
with a diet coke.
its been a long haul. I have tried all diets, and programs, and lost a lot of weight and gained it back, I thought I knew it all.
but a combination of things that worked before is what is working now, medication, portion control, attitude, committment to myself to do this for me..........the other day I went through the grocery store and picked out healthy things that I love, like green beans, red bell peppers, celery and salsa as a dip for the celery, zero cals, but crunchy, good stuff.....salads with nagano rice vinegar, mixed with a packet of good seasons italian salad dressing, no oil, makes a great salad dressing and so I can have more salads. I found the 100 cal packages of hostess cupcakes, skinny cows, and I have that at the end of the day, a good dieting day.
the side effects are worth the benefits for me.
and today I am at a 32 weight loss.
40 to go. maybe more by then........
I take phentramine. I like the energy boost that I get from it and the decreased hunger.
where do you get the phentramine at??
Suburban Warrior,
Loved your post and congrats on your weight loss. It truly is about attitude and making better food choices.
I don't take diet pills, although I have tried them in the past. They just mess my head up to much.
Best wishes everyone,
Diane
