Luna Bars

  • Ok Well Here Is My Question...i Have Been Doing Lawl For Over A Year And Using The La Bars...and Come To The Conclusion That They Are To Expensive To Continue Using Them....are The Luna The Best Trade For The La Bars...are There Certain Flvors That Are Better Than Others...i Dont Want To Gain Weight Because Of The Switch Has Anyone Gone From Only Using The La Bars To Only Using Luna And If So What Were Your Results??

Thanks So Much Im Ready To Get Back On Track And I Feel Greatt Since Being Off Plan Since About January...
  • did anyone get back to your luna bar question..im wondering the same thing
  • personally I am not doing the bars, but there are lots of people on this site that are using the Luna bars, and I have read several times that the Luna bars are a good substitute. Supposed to be similar in calories, protein, etc.

There are some doing the Kashi bars as well. In fact, I think that there are some that throw in a Luna bar once in a while instead of the LA bars just for a switch.

I wouldn't expect that you would have a weight gain by changing from one bar to another.
  • I am doing the LA Lites, but I only buy them when they're on sale because I didn't bulk. So, during the times when I'm starting to run low on Lites, I have substituted Lunas with no ill effect.
  • this is my 3rd time doing LAWL and this time around i'm using luna bars and i have found that i love the luna bars alot more than the LA bars. and they are actually healthier than the LA bars...alot more.
i really like all the flavors. my favorites ar the dulce de leche, cookies and cream, chocolate peppermint, lemon zest.
i usually order them off of amazon.com and get free shipping. i can't find many flavors at the stores here and sam's club used to sell them in boxes of 15, but they stopped carrying them.
  • I mix in the Luna and the Slim-Fast Meal Replacement bars just to shake it up with the Lites sometimes. They Slim-Fast are about 30 calories higher so if I use one of those I up the water and toss on a few extra crunches to the work-out.

The South Beach Diet bars have pretty much the same nutrionals as the LA Lite beverages, I'm now going to start tossing one of those in every so often. On sale they can be $3 for six bars--a big savings over the Lites.
