Okay, going to the COD tomorrow to weigh in, I'll start from that weight.
I'm a little nervous because I live an hour and a half from my cod and I haven't been in in two weeks to weigh. I have been weighing on my own scale and I have been on plan. I'm just afraid I haven't done as good as I think or even *gasp* gained. |
Okay I'm a glutton for punishment so I'm doing Takeoff tomorrow and Wednesday.. I vicariously celebrated the long weekend from Canada with all of you at a Lobsterfest and a few liquid fruit and starch.. my DH birthday is on Wednesday but he believes in celebrating his BirthWeek or often his Birthmonth so the temptations are everywhere.. I have 2 weeks left of stabilization and just want to get it DONE so if I do indulge a bit here and there I can stop the dreaded fear of the dang COD sclae.
So starting tomorrow the cuisine on the menu shall consists of good ole chicken and grapefruits..they are already in the freezer chilling. Let me know if anyone else is joining me on my journey of misery and retribution :) xo to you all! |
Kristen--I am doing takeoff tomorrow and weds., too. Starting the summer meltdown. My drug of choice will be grapefruit and shrimp for the next 2 days.

no kidding! when my mom and I did TO over Spring Break we did shrimp and grapefruit and it was so much better. I love chicken but after a while I start squawking!

It's the first day! How is everyone doing?
I'm soooo glad I'm working my pt job tonight, because I feel like I could eat everything on my menu right now. I can't eat there, so I have to get most stuff in ahead of 5:00. I think I'm also going to aim for 10 glasses of water per day during the challenge. With warmer weather coming and more exercise, I'm sure I can use it. |
well, I completely suck for day 1......but look out tomorrow.....(I hope). XOXO

Nicole -- The day is only half over, so you can still change this to a good day. Just make healthy choices for the rest of today and you can go to bed feeling good, not guilty.

Not to brag--but I am POP. My biggest problem is we got super busy cleaning house (my girls owe me $$ so they are really busting tail hoping I will forgive some of their debt!--which I will b/c they did a super job without me having to nag)--and now it's 2:00 and I all I've gotten in is a Luna, 1 grapefruit, and water--just started on my first round of shrimp--and it's yummy. I gotta get busy eating--it's been forever since I've had that problem.

I've been 100% POP today too, but the day's only half over.. I gotta tell you, the leftover salmon and green salad for lunch ain't cuttin it.. I'm pretty damn hungry still... To make matters worse, I shared the lunch table with a coworker who grabbed Wendy's for lunch.. The aroma from the fries nearly killed me... |
I think today I'm going to get ALL my food in...maybe...we'll see what happens after the evening shot...anyway I'm doing great so far staying on plan and not cheating.

Dan--the Wendy's just might have done me in! Fortunately it's just the girls and I most of the week so that will help. It's been a long long time since I've had anything to brag about so I guess I can. Something about leftover fish just doesn't do it for me. Now the shrimp I have will be great!

So far so good for me! Of course its only day 1 so I hope I can keep it up. It helps knowing we have alot of us doing this challenge together. Im still not sure what I am going to do the day after tomarrow...I have to think of what I can do for the JetStart....:?:

yogurt and fruit yogurt/fruit smoothie EAS Myoplex Lite milk and fruit hmmmm--I'm sure there are other choices but here's a few. |
Wow - almost done with day one. Hope everyone did okay. I have to think about Thursday too - these days aren't too hard as far as planning is concerned.
Suzie - I too am off to my part-time job tonight - I am so busy there that I really don't even think about eating. It is when I come home - that is when I want to munch. But so far POP - so I will go to BED when I get home :) Good luck everyone - we are on our way to a slimmer July 4th.. Peggy |

no problem saranac--one thing I highly recommend to anyone new to this is USE the knowledge of the vets--some of us have been at it way too long but we definitley know some tricks--I am back on the wagon so will have to take my own advice!!

Day 2 of TO and suprisingly I feel great. Amazing what good eating will do for the spirits. You would think when we eat good and feel good we would not want to indulge and feel crappy again but that's not always the case for me.
I was afraid these lazy days of summer would be extra hard but so far so good. Of course I am only 3 days in on OP eating but I am hoping the scales will make it worth it so I will want to stay strong. How is everyone else doing on TO--I know there are a lot of us doing it together so that helps. |
Wendy - I've gained 5 over the past week. Confession is good for the soul, if not the ego.
Hopefully a large portion of that will come off this week. I'd like to say that it is water weight, but my memory is too good..... |

Day two (TO)- so far so good. I agree with you Boo's mom - I feel pretty good too. Hopefully this mood will keep up. I am doing the Knudson's Simply Nutritious juice, but next round I think I will try the cantelope and oranges. I feel better today than I have in a while. I am going to shop for provisions for the remainder of the week... yogurt, fruit, slimfast, ice cream, potato chips - whoops scratch those last two items - I just don't think they are on this particular plan :)
Dan - Yep - Saranac Lake - We just love it up there and Lake Placid too. We have camped up in that area many times - nothing like it. On another note - also at the same time we were camping up there we drank quite a few Saranac beers - which are good, too :) Keep up the good work everyone - thanks for the motivation..... |
