That is the basic chart the COD's go by, but there are so many variables, like height, bone structure, muscle mass, activity level, medical conditions. On their chart, my ideal weight is 118. I probably haven't seen 118 since I was in 3rd grade, and honestly, I really have no desire to get to 118. They basically use this as a starting point and then use the dieticians input after the medical charts have been looked at.

Sherri- Green in the most evil of all the color plans. I really don't know of anybody that has gone on green. They told me that I would switch to green at 138, which isn't going to happen because I probably won't ever go that low. I think it's 1P,2S,2V,2F,1Fa,1D,2lites

Question: If I'm reading the chart right, then my DBF (31 yrs old, 158 pounds, 5'9") could possibly follow the purple plan to have a balanced diet that will keep him at his current weight?

The reason I ask isn't because he wants to lose weight, but he's terrified of gaining a belly. He's got a thin build naturally, and when he eats a big meal, he'll sit on the couch and rub his stomach as if he were a pregnant woman. *sigh* Yeah, I have no pity for him.

Anyway, I was hoping to give him some guidelines on how to maintain his current weight so he DOESN'T gain as he gets older...do any of you have ideas on proper exchanges for him? It would be good for him to at least have an idea of how much he should be shooting to eat each day.
