Way to go Lettie and Kim!! Amazing losses today!
My own WI was disappointing...just a few oz, but still in the right direction. I finally made a point of going to the store specifically to buy lemon juice today, so I hope that will help with SAturday's WI.

Oh, I have an excuse........I am sheltered......and I have to find my own fun. DH always gets mad at me cuz I laugh at injuries.......but only minor ones. Sometimes I just can't help myself. I know Katie is the same way......where the heck is she anyway?
I loved the momjaya story..........and the name
I want my funeral to be a big old party......and no flower arrangements. At least, not the funeral type. Just a vase of two of fresh cut flowers would be just fine with me. You can all come to my party as well
Lettie........WTG. That is incredible........keep it up!!!!
Joni.......yeah, I'll try to be good today........but it is so hard to not get trapped in that downward spiral. Just for today........just for today.......

Wendy- Good luck on the lasik today! I am sure you'll be lovin it.
Libby- You are a hot gorgeous chickie!!!
Lorraine- Glad to do the swap with you too. I just found out that DH has been sneaking them and I am getting low. Whenever you want to swap again, you just let me know!!
Barb- YAY on the 3 lbs.
JM- Have a safe and wonderful trip tomorrow. I will be looking forward to checking out your blog and see you holding beautiful baby Josie with a huge smile on your face I am sure!!
Danette- WTG on the 2 lbs. You will be celebrating onederland in no time!!
Lettie- Woohoo on the 3.6 lbs. and riding your bike all that way. You made me tired just reading it.
Kim2- YAY to you too on the 3.4 lbs.
Ok, with all the salt talk the last couple of days and Dan's sodium thread, I got this little diddy going in my brain and I can't get it out!!! THANKS DAN!!!!
Dan, Dan, he's the salt policeman
if he can't convert you
nobody can!!
Shannon- Salad looks good. You probably don't even need to count the pineapple as a fruit if you are only using one of the 1/2 c. cans. I would just count it as a condiment or 1/2 a fruit.

I made the chicken bruchetta last night from my cookbook, only I just made one serving. I had grilled chicken already done so I made it like this:
(PVS1/2D)
4 oz. cooked cubed chicken
1/2 c. no salt added diced tomatoes
1 oz. reduced sodium stove top chicken stuffing
1 oz. 2% shredded mozza cheese
dried basil
put the tomatoes and stuffing mix in a bowl and let sit until stuffing mix is just moistened. Put chicken in small baking dish, top with stuffing and tomato mixture. Sprinkle basil on top. Put in toaster oven for about 15-20 minutes until stuffing mixture starts to brown, then sprinkle cheese on top and cook for additional 5-10 minutes. YUMMO!!

It's delicious. If you think about it Miricle Whip is really on the sweeter side and also Waldorf salads, which are also excellent, combine apples with mayo(mw). Maybe mix yourself up a little mini batch of this. If you don't like it you haven't wasted much. Do a little one serving batch.
Deb - thanks a bunch on the advice for the pineapple - I was already feeling a little weepy that I wouldn't be able to have my fruit smoothie tonight.
I'm having lots of trouble losing right now and find that I'm "accidentally" going over on starches more often than not. And if I go home and make my regular smoothie today I will go over on dairy so I guess I'll make the not as good r version with just fruit and ice. Today I vowed to start trying my hardest to follow the daily meal thread example and get some snacks in. I think I will actually start posting there so I'll be more accountable.
I did really good when I first started this diet about having 5-6 mini meals a day and I lost 10 lbs that first month. I got full of myself and stopped the snack time meals and have paid for it by being too hungry at regular meal time and eating too much. I'm learning. This is a lifestyle change, once I get that drilled into my head I'll be good to go. I just have to stop falling back into my old patterns
Free therapy. I love this board.

Hello to all (again!)! I've only posted a few times, but read daily...and I have a question for all of you LAWL professionals...
I am stalled...in week 5! I have POP for almost 2wks now and have lost only 0.2lb in the last week Even my counselors are a little stumped. I drink my required 64oz of water by noon and then continue on through the day; I have cut WAY back on my beloved peanut butter toast for breakfast (only 1-2x week now); I always get all my food in; I only have a banana 1-2x week; I eat small meals/snacks throughout the day (these are all questions that the COD has asked). I'm on red w/lites. Still, no loss. It is much too early in this endeavor to be hitting a plateau don't you think? I'm at a loss (well, not literally or I wouln't be complaining!) as to what to do...
Any suggestions?

I was right where you are right now!!!!!! in week 4 and 5 I'm in week 6 now and I lost 2 pounds in 2 days WI again tomorrow. The group here told me to RELAX and I did. I knew I felt smaller but the scale was lieing
The only thing I did different was to drink the hot lemon water and really watch the salt....... things are moving down again. Keep strong and the scale will show you soon!!!!!

Phoxie- First off, a week does not a plateau make. Everybody stalls from time to time, some earlier than others. It happens and you can't judge your weight loss by someone elses success or failure because we are all different. I lost 20 lbs. really quick and then didn't lose an ounce for 5 weeks and I was a POP as you can get. I just had to tough it out and have patience, I was getting super discouraged and then wham one day I went for WI and was down 5 lbs.
You counselors may have already told you this but:
Make sure you are mixing your foods up, don't eat the same thing all the time.
Don't eat beef 2 days in a row, or pork more than once a week.
Watch the sodium counts on the foods you eat. I've found frozen shrimp as high as 490 gms. per serving and as low as 70 gms. per serving.
Switch foods up, have a heavy calorie day and then a lower calorie day.
How much water are you actually drinking? You could possibly be drinking too much.
Are you exercising? That could factor in. If you are, you may be gaining muscle, if you aren't maybe start some extra walking.
Most of all, Patience. You didn't put the weight on overnight and you are not going to take if off overnight. If you are doing everything right, then you are making yourself healthier. Have they measured you since you started? If not, have them do that the next time you go in, you may be pleasantly surprised.
