Happy Birthday to Dan!!!!!!!!!!!
Roses are Red
And Queso ain't Blue
I wish for your birthday
I could buy some SALT for you! :birthday:
I went to WI and they scheduled my "Stabilization Appointment" .. the way they said it I was expecting to hear thunder or have lights start to flash.
I will post a little thread with all that I learn on "STABILIZATION" so you can share the journey.. the highs and lows.. laugh and cry.. oh yeah and motivate yourself to get some food back! Apparently next week they add back in the first food.. are you ready.............. it is.......................
UNLIMITED VEGETABLES!!!!!!!! Can you imagine a salad you don't have to measure.. with any veg servings on top.. I'm awestruck! I told them since I've been on I would be most excited to have more veggies, another dairy and another 1/2 protein.. I can even survive without the extra starch.. unless I can use that for my Blizzard
I found some 98% fat free ice cream made with Sucralose today.. they are wee sundaes and also make ice cream bars, ice cream and fudgesicles.. so I cannot remember on the new plan Deb has if the 1/2 cup is now a dairy?
Deb if you see this refresh my memory!
Renovator is back so house is trashed again and I've got a dining room table full of groceries I cant' put away!
Will check back in soon
Nance way to go on the size 10!
Cassi you just get cuter
Nicole and Katie glad about your fathers
JM.. you go get packing girlfriend!
Everyone else I'm hoping to catch up once I get away from the nail gun!!

Katie - great news about your dad
Nicole - I truly hope that everything works out with your dad. My dad is an alcoholic, but it is so bad that I haven't even spoken to him in over 3 years. He's never even seen his beautiful grandaughter. I've dealt with all of it, but to get another chance with a clean slate...I'm praying for you.
JM - How exciting! One more week for the most incredible experience in your life...I'm so excited for you! Children are certainly a blessing unlike anything you could ever imagine.
As for me, I'm ready to get the heck out of here! It's in the 70's, sun is shining, my MP3 player arrived today, and my new jogging stroller is ready to go. I'm going for a nice looooonnnnng walk with my DD...I can't wait!
Big HELLO to everyone else. I've been really busy today trying to catch up on all the stuff I tend to put off...filing, filing, and more filing

1 hour and 20 minutes until VACATION!!! Can you tell I'm looking forward to my much needed break?!? And, good news at WI today. Somehow I was actually down half a pound. Woohoo!! Of course, then I sabotaged myself by getting some Chickfila chicken nuggets. I don't know why I did that. Guess it's because I was really craving something FRIED!! Anyway, I counted them as 1P, 1S, and 1Fat, so hopefully it will even out. And, I did eat them with a side salad and NOT waffle fries. Okay, got some things to finish up before 5pm.

Lettie - you need a big hug........ and a bottle of advil!
The new plan says the ice cream is a dairy vs a starch.....at least that's what I see on two different docs.
Kristen - are you seriously excited about unlimited veggies.....I think you must be celebrating Natl Pot Smokers Day (4/20...see other threads!). I'm with Dan...I'd want unlimited something else; anything else!!
NC Wendy - wtg on the 1/2 lb loss. As far as the nuggets.....I think you planned well for them. I love the side salad from Chick Filet...yum yum.

and JONI..........LOVED the video!!! I e-mailed that to everyone in my address book........I am a huge Will Ferrell fan....and I have always joked how fun it would be to teach a baby to swear. I have often asked DH if I can teach our kids when they first start talking, cuz it just sounds soooo cute!!!

Kristen: I'm really interested in what you get to add. But I'm with some of the others. Unlimited veggies don't get me too excited.
Anyway, I went to COD today and got excited. I was down 3 pounds and was happy with that. Then I got measured for the first time since I started. I was down 10 1/2 inches!! Best of all 5 of those inches were in the hips, where I needed it most. I've been working hard in aerobics classes at the gym in addition to the diet. Step with weights, cardio salsa, kickboxing, fitness ball, you name it. I'm finally seeing progress. I felt sorry for the counselors at the center. Apparently one women who had lost 40 pounds on the diet came in and threw a HUGE fit because she hit a plateau. She wanted answers and she really shook the whole staff up. My counselor was really rattled because she was trying to talk to a new client on the phone, the place was packed and this lady was SCREAMING her head off out front. I felt bad for them because the counselors are really all very sweet and try their very best to be helpful. I would be thankful for those 40 pounds lost! How 'bout the rest of you?
Jill

Plateaus are hard. Especially when you've been losing and then all of a sudden... nuthin. But I've also noticed that most of the time people tend to call it a plateau when they've stayed the same for a week or two. A week or two sucks, especially if you're POP (and it happened to me), but it's not a plateau. 4 weeks or more, now that's a plateau. What I've found is that when someone thinks they've plateaued, they may have been having some extra BLTs, may have TOM on the way, may have been counting things wrong, saving exchanges and having them all at once at night, you get the picture. There's usually a reason. But sometimes there isn't and that's when it gets REALLY frustrating because you're doing everything right and nothing happens. You try this and that and then you lose it.
But it's not the counselor's fault, and I feel bad for them when people lose it on them too. They aren't magicians, they're counselors. They are there to help, but we must do the work.
And then there are those people that are just plain rude. Don't even get me started on them. Taking my and going home now...
