Greetings from AK, y'all!

I have been working in Anchorage all week and am also ready to go home (Dan, I feel your pain). This is my first trip up here since starting LAWL (I come up one week per month) and it is a little more challenging than I thought it would be. I did take some precautions: brought my Lites and went to the grocery store for fruit, veggies and rf pb. That's been keeping me honest. I eat lunch out every day so I have been trying my very best to make good choices (you guys should hear me order...I sound like Meg Ryan in "When Harry Met Sally"...everything on the side!) I have been having room service every night and I think I know that menu better than the chef. So far it's been lots of seafood...halibut, salmon, shrimp and crab. I will be able to swim home come Friday. Oh, and here's a funny tale...when I joined LAWL there was no COD up here so they told me just to go on hold when I come up so I am thinking SWEET...a week with no WI's, right? WRONG! I was watching TV last night and sure enough...a new COD opening soon. Arrrrgh! I guess it's good and will keep me honest. That commercial scared the roll right out of my hand. They can't see me through the TV, can they?

Everyone who posted a new avatar looks especially lovely...I know you guys think mine is a cartoon dog but it's really me! Kristen, your picture is beautiful...must be the loss of weight and gain of confidence that goes with it. Deb: cutest haircut!

Well, that's all for now. Hope everyone is cruising right along this week. I don't WI again until Tuesday but the blessing of being in a hotel is that I am scale-less (DF, however, has been reporting his daily weight over the phone. He is addicted!). I do feel a little skinnier this week, I hope I am not wrong come Tuesday!

Thank GOD for 2 things...

yogurt can be a dairy now :-)

And Sanjaya is finally GONE!!!

I am now going to use my remaining starch and have a small handful of veggie chips which I have fallen in love with.

Ask away... That's the best part of this site.. We've all discovered little secrets to making this work.

The lemon water does help, even with guys who don't have as big a problem with water retention (sorry girls!!)... Don't be afraid to swallow some gas-x or mylanta.. Just don't make it a constant companion..

Also, expect to have some, um, bodily waste retention.. If you do this plan right, your body will try to retain the good stuff you're now putting into it.. LAWL has a tea that tastes good and helps with regularity.. It'll work FAST at first, but with regular use, will just become a gentle "help" with expulsion.. At least that's been my experience.. There's also mineral oil, which is non-addictive and helps quite a bit...

Beano will also help with the gas build up...

Jael and Sanjaya are gone!

Libby -- How did Jael even get on that show? She's so unpleasant, to listen to, and to look at IMHO. I think her stinking attitude made her seem uglier to me.

Thanks Dan

I think I'll give in and buy the tea at 13.99 a box and buy real lemon and some gas x. My dh is going to think I'm nuts with all this stuff but honestly I am sooooooooo uncomfortable. I am still amazed with all the food I am eating that nothing moves. Thanks Dan for talking about this ****TY situation :-)

Morning all......it's going to be gorgeous in Atlanta today. Sure wish I didn't have to work!

Some of the advertising on this site has a lot to be desired. I opened up the site this morning to see this really hot gal with the biggest, roundest, fakest tatas staring me in the face. It's from a company called True..Live Love Learn..but it looks to me like soft porn. Okay, guess I'm feeling sort or prudish this morning. Maybe I'll do what Nicole did and pay to not see the stupid ads.......

Debster - love your new sassy picture.........you photograph well!!

Everyone have a great day. Stay strong and stay motivated!

Dan not that I want to stick up for Sanjaya or anything, but he did exactly mess up on the lyrics, He changed them to be funny, instead of saying "let's give them something to talk about, how about love" He sang "let's give them something to talk about, other than hair" which was a reference to his hair being talked about every week.

OK and I'm not a big Sanjaya fan but I gotta tell ya - I felt so sorry for him last night when everyone jumped up and started clapping and screaming....and he started crying. You normally get one or two booos in the bunch. How much must that suck. Oh well - let's all bow our heads for a moment of sanjaya silence and then party on!!!!

Good morning all and have a great POP Sanjaya free day
