Morning all -
Katie - with everything you went through yesterday, here you are...moving on...which is the best thing to do! You mentioned the doggie prozac, but my sister swears by Rescue Remedy for her dogs (they are little dogs though, so I'm not sure how it would work on a Dane)...just a thought. Its a flower herb for calming; you can read a general description of it at http://www.answers.com/topic/rescue-remedy.
I'll be back............

Oh, Joni, what a great idea. I have a bottle of rescue remedy. I slip it to my kids occasionally. It does work really well.

Katie - so sorry about the puppy. Take care of Momma, she probably needs some exta TLC right now.

Katie - I'm so sorry for your troubles. What a horrible day you had. I'm glad the mommy is holding her own. I think she probably did know what was coming and was trying to get help. That excuse sounds the best anyway! I'm very sorry. Hug yourself and the mama.

Paula - Very glad your test is over and will by praying for good results.

All of you who still lost weight over Easter - Big Congrats (she says cussing under her breath). I weighed in again last night at the gym and was up another 2lbs - so 3 total. I'm sure that is the water weight talking so I will be taking extra diuretics this week and will do a warm lemon water in a minute. Yes, I know, sodium bad, evil salt yeah yeah yeah. Sheesh, I have NO fun anymore. And yanno what really sucks? The Easter Bunny brought my son a bag of the big reeses peanut butter eggs and I didn't even have one. NOT ONE. No candy at all the one sweet I did have was strawberry cake. That's just a fruit right? : ) It was made with applesauce (oh another fruit) so I felt it was semi safe. I had just a sliver anyway.

Oh well, I will have to find a way to double up on the exercise this week to try to get back to where I was. I had veggie soup for lunch yesterday and a taco salad last night so I'm just going to try to stick with fake meat and chicken this week and see if that helps. Not sure what else I can do to get this back off. For 3 lbs I would have expected a little more fun.

Katie.. I'm so sorry you had to go through that.. Hopefully today will be better..

Liz and I have had our fair share of dog troubles... We rescued an Airdale a couple of years ago, and what started out as a wonderful addition to our family turned into a nightmare that cost us thousands in vet bills.. And then when all was said and done, my boy's system couldn't take the strain and he died..

But enough of the doldrums... The new Marillion CD came in the mail yesterday and I'm SO FRAKKIN' JAZZED!!!!

Day two of TO today.. I probably won't be able to WI until the weekend as the next three days are going to be filled with touring potential hotels and meeting sites in Albuquerque and Santa Fe for the 2009 National Association of State Foresters conference..

I'm a little troubled about it, as they will be feeding us, to show off what their kitchens can prepare.. Hopefully there will be lots of salads...

What's the word on the memorial day challenge? Is this just lose as much as you can in that time frame? Is there going to be a special thread for it or do you just start tracking? What's the dillio?

Katie - So sorry about the dog trauma. Animal instinct is an amazing thing. I hope Savannah recovers well.

Newsflash - I was POP yesterday! Yee Haw! It really does FEEL better to eat well. I haven't bit the bullet and returned to the COD yet. I suppose I should suck it up and go - get a starting point now so I can be happy about losing weight instead of annoyed that I gained some back.

ANother quiet day here - I'll take it! Bye all - have a great day

Yesterday's TO went well...dropped from my sodium-filled 180.5 down to 177 this morning. Not expecting much more of a drop from today, as I rarely lose anything on the second day, but I can hope!

I'd forgotten all about Rescue Remedy! I used to use that when my kids would flip out into the all-out tantrums.

Katie, I'm so sorry to hear about both of your dogs...I hope Savannah is able to recover quickly!

Hi everyone......
sooo super busy today, but wanted to say hello.........and Katie.....sorry about the doggy hardships. As I was reading yoru posts........all I could think is, holy cow, Katie's dog has post partum depression. Poor thing......all worried about her baby, and then injured as well. I tell ya......motherhood makes you nuts. Anyway........I have to run DD to school, and then pack for Wisconsin. Oh, and I am sooo far off plan, it isn't even funny. I am starting to get scared that I won't get back on...........but am thinking about starting FF right now, even though I already ate breakfast. Do you think that would be dumb? I'm afraid if I wait another whole day, I"ll gain another 5 pounds................anywhoo.....I'll try really hard to check back in a bit.
XOXO

Morning all. Another crazy day at work, but I thought I'd pop in real quick. TO seems to be doing its thing because I was back to where I was pre-Easter this morning. Also, I think I like using oranges MUCH better than the juice. I've been less hungry and crabby this time around.

No time for personals, but KATIE, just wanted to say I'm so sorry about the puppy and I hope the Mama gets all better soon!! It does sound like she was trying to find help for her baby.

Hope everyone has a POP day. And for all of the other doing emergency TO, hang in there!!

Well WI yesterday had me up .4, not bad with stupid ole TOM I guess. But the good news is I got measured and lost another 4 inches bringing my total to 29.5, yea me! I'll take the inches over the pounds anyday!

Hope everybody has a great day!

Katie- if somebody could come up with a pill like that, they would be rich beyond belief LOL I like the idea of being superwoman once a month instead of feeling like a slug!

Katie-so sorry about the puppy and Savannah-the things we do for our furbabies, huh?

As for a TOM pill-I'll get right on it! It's not like I have anything better to do, right? (HA!) Actually though-our metabolism DOES speed up during TOM (the body's doing a bunch of extra stuff,ya know . . .), so you're burning more calories and if you can just stay POP (so hard, I know), you should be rewarded with weight loss. . . .
