Katie - My best suggestion is to take the puppy to the vet. They can put him on iv fluids and hopefully pull him thru this. If money is the issue most vet's (here in texas anyway) won't refuse service. If you're going to give the puppy up anyway maybe they will take him, nurse him back to health and sell him themselves. At least you know he'll live. I will keep him in my prayers anyway and hope for the best.

Well as for my Easter confession. Most of my family was very diet conscious in their meal preparations. Cole slaw made with light mayo, potato casserole instead of potato salad (can't pass up potato salad, EVER, a small spoon of the casserole does me fine), fruit salad, cake made with apple sauce instead of oil. Ok maybe cake isn't on the plan but.......... My real indiscretion was on the drive home we stopped at a fried chicken joint. Not sure how far back that is gonna set me. Also, on the way to Dallas dinner was 6oz ribeye. I just ran that thru Spark and OMG the calories. Think I'll shy away from the red meats for a while. Not sure what the damage is on my weight loss this week but I know from all my eating out last week I'd only squeaked out .4 weight loss. Gotta get back on the low sodium train. I need to try to find some time to prep meals for the week so I'm not eating the frozen meals and eating out so much. I'm just not sure where that time is going to come from! Oh well, can't cry over gained weight, just get back on the tracks and try try try again.

That's my story and I'm sticking with it.

Truffles. Chocolatey Truffles. They killed me. I only ate 2 though... but that was just before I had a piece of ice cream cake.

I am NOT doing ETO, however. I will be spending my evening on the treadmill in punishment for my behavior.

On another note, my parents both asked me how to do LAWL.. and THEY are doing FF today! I'm pretty proud of them for taking action.. esp my dad who can't stand veggies and doesn't believe in diets.

Easter was great in our house. My family stayed until 11:30pm and we had a blast together. Best holiday in a long time.

Ok.. I have to go counsel my parents.. more later!

Good morning everyone. I too survived the weekend, barely. I have decided just to get back on plan and not do TO.

Katie - take care of that little puppy for us.

WendyII - how awesome that your parents are doing LAWL. My dad keeps mentioning he would like to join LAWL, but have not gotten him to seriously commit yet.

Evette - good to see you. You are doing so awesome. An inspiration to us all.

Jillian - mmmm lattes. I don't know if I would be able to work at Starbucks without over doing it. You are very strong.

Joni - responding to your question from a few days back, yes that was me in the boa. Part of my bachelorette party garb. It was very fun. I decided to change my avatar back to a pic of me and soon to be dear husband.

Kristen - we are rooting for you to make goal today!!

Nicole - hope you had a great weekend. I also look forward to reading your novels, I mean posts. You crack me up!!!

Dan and Liz - good luck with your emergency TO. Sounds like you have lots of company.

OK, back to work. I have a lot to do today! Also have a lot to take care of before leaving for our wedding/honeymoon. 11 days and counting.....

Good morning everybody! Off to WI in a little bit, gonna get measured today! I was good ALL weekend. Since I promised my favorite counselor I would be in today it helped keep me motivated. Even being OP I was still up a little bit on the home scale this morning. Gotta love freakin TOM. I'm determined to be close to goal by the time for my surgery so no BLT's for me!

Good luck everybody with your emergency TO's! I may do one just because its been a few weeks and it might help move me closer to my goal.

NSV for me, I didnt have ONE piece of Easter chocolate! I did have a jelly bean while I was decorating a cake! LOL

Well, I was up a pound today.. But I'm pretty sure that's not reflecting any long term damage I did to myself yesterday...

It's funny how minor indescretions turn into big time problems when we're on a diet.. When I said I had some nachos yesterday, I had no more than 5 chips and they weren't dripping with sauce.. When I said I had some candy, I probably had no more than 5 or 6... The fries I stole from my daughter at the game? Maybe 4...

I know the little things add up, but it's not like we went out and ate an entire bag of candy or an entire plate of nachos dripping with cheese...

I remarked to Liz about the family sitting down the row from us.. The entire family was overweight, but several of the children (in their 20's, probably) were VERY overweight.. And they were stuffing their faces with beer, funnel cakes, hamburgers, etc....

I know it makes me sound like such a hypocrite, but it was honestly making me ill....

Morning all.

I am not doing TO yet. I have my WI tomorrow and I will base it off of that. If it isn't too much of a gain, I won't to TO. But I also need to get back to going to Curves 3 times a week. However, I do seem to lose more when I don't go to Curves. Strange huh.

Katie - Sorry to hear about the little puppy. I loves dogs and hate to ever see any dog sick. You are in our prayers.

Kristin - Hope you are having fun with the sis. And I know your dad will be fine with his surgery.

Well must get back to work. Hope everyone is having a great POP day.

Katie - please take care of the little puppy. Sounds like you are doing all you can. Have you called your vet to see if he/she can suggest anything? I know they'll probably say bring her in; at least this way you'll know.

JM - Good idea about making a plan for a few days...I'm doing the ETO right now, but hadn't yet formulated a plan for the rest of the week. I think I'll do that right now!

Nancy - Good catch on Dan's avatar. So my question to Dan - can I use Sea Salt? I hear it's better for us than regular salt?

Lettie - the story of your DH wanting you to go weigh so he could go next door and have a donut is just too funny. Sometimes men can be such dumb asses......but congrats for staying strong and good luck with all your liquids!

Just today... I wanted to change my avatar back to the other picture, but didn't want to lose the humor...

So here I am over at our nearby Wild Oats, getting a salad for lunch... Usually they have a really good selection, but not today.. I got my serving of mixed greens and then went to look for some other things.. No celery.. No raw brocoli.. No nothin' that I could add.. So I got my pittance of shredded chicken and some oranges and hit the road...

Why is it that a supposed health food store is falling down on the job? Oh yeah, because the aging hippie idiots that now populate Santa Fe are willing to drive their SUV's across town so they can pay twice as much for their groceries as they do elsewhere, but feel good about it... I should add that the only reason I go there is because it's only a block away and the salad bar is usually pretty well stocked)

These are the same yahoos who stand on street corners with their "Honk if you love peace" signs after driving their volvos and BMW's to a secluded spot nearby so people won't know they're rich.. The same people who claim to be tolerant UNLESS you have a view other than theirs. The same people who ***** and whine about oil company profits while sipping their $4 double soy chai lattes... Do they even stop to think about how much a latte costs by the gallon?

Bitter? Me? No...

Shoot me if I ever try to move to Santa Fe..

Rant over...

Sea salt, while better for us because of added minerals and stuff, it still very high in sodium, and thus, verbotten...

Don't argue with me dammit.. Just walk away...
