Counting of weeks in plan

  • I went for my free consult on January 10th (Wed). They started me on the actual diet on January 12th (Friday). I have gone through two diary's and am starting my third.

They have me as being on week 10 in the program. When I count, I get that I am starting my ninth week (which would end this Friday).

They are counting week one completed on the Friday I started...which to me seems weird. How can they count that as a week?

It isn't a big deal, it is just they told me if I lose 2.8 lbs by Friday then I will make my 2 lbs. a week, otherwise I don't. On January 12th when they weighed me for my before weight, I was at 224.5. As of yesterday I was at 207.2 (total of 17.3 lbs loss).

When I pointed it out to them that I didn't think I should be at week 10, and that I thought I had at least a 2 lb week average, they couldn't explain why they had me as being on week 10. They also found it wierd that they are not measuring me at week 4, 8, etc, but at week 6, 10.

Has anyone else encountered this? Is my math wrong (quite possible - but I don't see the error right now...)
  • My center is off on weeks too, but they show I have been on plan 1 week less than what I have calculated. I finally asked a counselor and she told me they give one week to let people get used to the plan. I guess here is another instance where there are differences between the center... My situation works out in my favor, so I'm not complaining.
  • Patsy - you should probably speak to a manager. Basically they are cheating you out of one of your weightloss weeks, and you paid for it.
  • Thanks, I think I will! One week isn't the end of the world, but the principle is still there...
  • I went in for my initial consult on a Wed., did TO Thurs and Fri. and started the plan Sat. They start my weeks on a Monday. But I also think they start all weeks on a Monday because of the paperwork. But then they need to still give you a full week regardless of how they do it.
  • I agree. They should be shorting you out of weeks that you paid for.
  • Sorry, they SHOULDN'T be shorting you out of your weeks!!!!
