Joni- So far she has only had 1 puppy. Strange. I guess it is possible that she is only going to have one. If so, he going to be one spoiled baby! I am going to give her until tomorrow afternoon. If she still has not had anymore, I will give her a shot of oxytosin to be sure. I will share pics tomorrow!

I know, here in Canada where we have long waits for most specialists, that being a PITA sometimes is what works.

Kelli -- So glad to hear you got the 'all clear' words. What a relief.

Paula, I second these words, I am sorry you have to keep waiting, but you seem to have a wonderful perservering attitude, so I wish you only the best.

Finally! Everyone in my casa is sleeping. I will be next.

Paula- This may be a good sign if they did not immediately schedule it. Keep your head up!

Jenn- Thanks for that info. I know for sure my husband will not be eating anything referring to a man's booty, so I will have to try this one myself. My daughter will inhale it since it sounds like it tastes like Cheetos.

Cassi- Congrats on your 1 year anniversary! You have accomplished a lot in one year, the right and healthy way.

Wendy II- Back away from the Velveeta.

Angie- You had to celebrate the new car somehow. It's ok- Tomorrow is a new day.

BobbySam- Twin...Where are you? Hope you are having a great day.

I know I am missing other personals, but everyone knows I am thinking about them! Sending POP wishes to everyone.

I WI at COD tomorrow. It's TOM but my home scale is down again, so I am keeping my fingers crossed for at least a pound or two. Hmmm... I may just actually meet my 10 lb goal with Thin Wannabees Easter Challenge. How lovely that would be. (Whispering to myself...I knew I was supposed to be on Red 2 w/lites.) Make that Red 1 w/lites.

Good Night!

Morning everyone!

Letisha- GL at WI!! Here is hoping for 2 lbs!

Angie- Dang, that McFlurry sounds good.

Kelli- Even with rinsing the beans, they will still have a little more sodium, but not too bad. Are making hummus with them? I love to do that, but my tummy objects to the beans. Coincidentally, so does my DH, for the same reason my tummy does. Go figure, huh?

Jillian- A starch and a fat? You know, if you count them as both, then I see no reason to limit them to once a week or so. A typical fat has around 30-40 calories, plus a typical starch has around 60, so there is really no big splurge there. Hmmm, I may have to consider that. I have been thinking that those little cakes and some LF, SF ice cream would really come in handy at birthday parties. No reason to cheat because you have your own cake and ice cream.

Kelli- Great news on the blood work!

Joni- From reading the threads, it looks like Michelle and Carebearschris, the red team leader, had an ugly falling out a couple of weeks ago, and Chris quit. The red team ended up finishing with no team leader. After the cutting remarks that Michelle made to that other girl on the blue team early on in the challenge, it made me wonder what in the world happened this time. The red team was very upset, and I feel bad for them. Some of those ladies were very comitted to the challenge.

We still only have one puppy! I have been listening to her belly with a stethascope that my sister swiped from the hospital that she works at for me. I swear that I can hear the drumrolls of tiny hearts beating way up into her ribcage. I called a much more experienced breeder friend last night. She said that she had a Great Dane take 3 days to have an entire litter once! She also said that she has had Danes only have one puppy before too. That is crazy! Today DH and I are going to take turns running home to check on her every 2 hours, and hopefully we will be fairly slow today and I can get out of work on time. Anyone out there with some puppy experience with any wisdom to share? I just do not want to do anything that would endanger the health of our mommy dog, like wait too long to go to the vet. BTW, the stethascope goes back on Monday, we were just borrowing!

Have a great, POP day everyone!!!

Katie - sorry, I can tell you about a lot of canine conditions, but not the birthing stuff.....thanks for the update and looking forward to reading more.

Morning Kristen.....I predict a great weigh in for you today! You rock.

I justed posted my furkids easter picture in my profile picture. If you click on my avatar, the profile pic is my dawgs....ironically, when I was taking this picture, I wound up capturing a picture of some yard art I have mounted on my fence and it's a bunny rabbitt's head/ears. How appropriate for Easter. To find it, look closely in the top right of the picture. (fyi, Charlie is the bigger of the two dogs; on the left. He's the one doing Chemo now, but he looks and acts GREATTTTT!)

So busy at work that I don't even know where to begin, so I keep putting it off. This is not good. I truly think I have AADD, but I don't care. Keeps me from getting bored.

Joni, your furkids are GORGEOUS!

Thanks for the reminder, Kristen! Tonight might really challenge me in the snacking department. I WILL BE STRONG!!!

My BN weight this morning was all the way down to 174.5...I almost fell over and rechecked it three times. Then I ate breakfast and got dressed, and weighed again...up to 177.5. My last COD WI was 176.8, so I think I'll be up when I go there today, but I won't let it get me down...the BN weight was a new low for me!

My serial killers class IS going to be intense...I had very troubled dreams last night and we've barely scratched the surface. I hope this whole thing won't traumatize me! (though...hmm...if it causes me to lose my appetite, THAT could be a blessing...hah!)

Paula - I'm sorry that's happening to you. Hang in there and take some relaxing walks and baths. Whatever you can do to de-stress (just remember to avoid queso). On a happy note it gives us all more time to pray for you and that's nothing but good.

Dan - you can go ahead and snatch your baton back from Cassie. The gauntlet was thrown and you rose to the occassion! (you know I'm kidding, I need people to keep me away from my beloved salt so keep hounding!!)

Katie - Woohoo, you're a grandma! Send pics

Cassi - I made it thru the night without queso! Woohoo for me!

I did go a little overboard on the carbs though. I teach an ESL class and last night was going to a mexican restaurant and ordering in English. (unfortunately the waitress only spoke spanish, so the student had to translate for ME...all the best laid plans..) I ordered 2 chicken fajita tacos, believe me this place was NOT LA Weight Loss friendly. That was as close as I could get to the plan. I was pleasantly surprised when the tacos arrived. I guess it's real mexican food and not texmex, it was grilled chicken, not a lot of spices, grilled veggies on a flour tortilla. No cheese no lettuce no nuttin else just meat and veggies. It was the best chicken fajita taco I've ever had. I will go back...once I learn to order chicken fajita tacos in spanish. Maybe I can just point. I got about halfway thru the second when I realized I was going over on starches so I ripped off as much extra tortilla as I could. And surprisingly enough that satisfied my cravings. I got home and my son had made is salt queso but the smell wasn't at all appealing. As a matter of fact it was horrible. And of course he left it all out for me to enjoy. First words out of my mouth were - CLEAN THIS MESS UP AND HIDE THAT QUESO. Today it doesn't even sound good. Thank you all for pulling me thru in my time of need. Crisis avoided.

Oh and SasKNewfie - You might want to speed up the bb gun thing - the sooner he learns to shoot the sooner you two can go chicken wing hunting!

Morning All
Joni my DH is the world's biggest fan of Boxers.. not the ones you wear! He is dying to get a dog and I just showed him the pics of your sweet furkids outside.. he nearly lost it.. wants to come and visit.. so we'll have to do a babysitting swap where you can spend time with the girls and we can see the dogs.. don't be surprised if he announces a road trip!
Okay back from WI and 161.6.. ......getting so close.. they mentioned about booking my stabilization appointment? I never thought I'd see the day.. so that puts me down 90lbs from my heaviest and 58 since joining LAWL. From someone who loved her cocktails, carbs, fast food and chocolate it can be done! They told me at COD that a lot of people won't eat the food they start adding back in stabilization as they are afraid of gaining weight so they lie in their journal. I said that if I could pick two things to have back it would be a bit more protein and an extra veg... months ago would have been the carbs carbs and more carbs for sure.
So I just want to take a moment and say a super thank you to Joni, Nicole, Cassi, Deb, Evette, Katie and Kim and a few of the other old timers for the knowledge you shared when I first joined, the humour during my battles with the stupid sclae and the never ending humour to keep going. For the newbies it's been great to have so many new people join and add so much to the boards as well.. especially our Rooster clan!
Looking forward to continuing on the journey with everyone and a special hug to Paula and Kelli for enduring a tough week xo

OMG...WHY would you weigh fully dressed and WITH food eaten, girl?! Your BNW IS your real weight, for sure. OF COURSE you'll be up three pounds after, LOL! CONGRATS!

Good morning ladies (and 2 gentlemen!)...

Well, day 3 and still no taste or smell. The cold is much much better but I am just waiting for those tastebuds to come back so I can have my Friday night glass of "fruit"! I have been all over the board this week with my plan due to the illness...POP one day, off plan one day and FF two days. I am down on the home scale so here is HOPING that COD says the same at WI this morning. Fingers crossed!

Shannon...way to go on the queso crisis! And good for you for limiting your tortillas mid-bite. Isn't it funny how we all used to just eat as much of all that stuff as we wanted with barely a second thought. It's so awesome when we get in the zone and hold ourselves really realize what we are eating?

Megan...That class sounds interesting and intense. I must admit that has always been a morbid fascination for me. I have watched a lot of Court TV in my day. Keep up posted.

Katie...Congratulations on the puppy. I probably wouldn't wait much longer to take her to the vet, though, especially if you really believe there is another puppy in there.

Kelli...I am so glad for your good news. That's got to be a load off. How has the plan been going for you this week.

Hi to everyone else and send skinny thoughts for POP days far and wide. I am off to COD and then a busy day for me!

LOL.........I would never do that, Katie........I only pop in on myspace every now and then.......i go in spurts.........but I will check it this a.m.

Joni........your dogs are soooooo cute. I love your yard as well. Currently, my back yard is more like a junk yard...with a trampoline, sandbox, swingset, pool, patio, oh and mud. I have got to do something about it. I wish I could go on Landscaper's Challenge on HGTV. That would be sooo cool.

Cassi.........you have been awfully quiet lately.........is everything ok?

Kristen.......I cannot wait to hear the results of your WI

I am on day 3 of POP.......and I am really proud of myself. It does almost seem like I am cheating with the bars. They are so yummy.........it just seems wrong somehow......LOL.

I do have to say, once again.....Shannon.......you crack me up.

Speaking of crack me up......where the **** is Kim?

Ok, time to get to work.............
XOXO
