Default 2 questions!!

On the menu thread i've been reading that people eat ricotta cheese with chocolate syrup?? I could never imagine eating cheese and chocolate together..someone fill me in on how this tastes!! Also, do nuts(non salted) count as a fat or a protein? It's under both in the gold book...so i was a little confused how to count that. thanks so much.

Never tried ricotta and chocolate but it is probably good. Think of cheesecake with chocolate...

As for nuts, you can count them as a fat OR a protien.

Sweetened ricotta cheese is what is used in cannolis (an Italian dessert). Yummy!! As for nuts, they can be either, depending on how many you eat. If you want to eat just a few (my book says 7 almonds or 10 other nuts), you can count them as a fat. If you want to eat more than a few (3tbsp. I think my book says), then you count them as a protein.
