Hi, I made a big batch of Rhubard Strawberry Sauce on the weekend, but don't know how to count it into the plan...was wondering if any of you could help.
Recipe I used was:
24 cups of rhubarb pieces
14 cups of strawberries
1/3 cup of liquid sugar twin
I added water to the rhubarb and let it thaw out and boil, then added the strawberries and let them all simmer together for about an hour, then added the sugar twin to taste...
Any help would be appreciated...love my RS sauce!!
Thanks!! I will mark it down as a fruit. I was thinking I would mark it as a fruit, but portion size I wasn't sure.
I originally made it to add to my cottage cheese, as I've been advised by the doctor to avoid pinapple and all citrus fruits, tomatoes etc. It is okay mixed with the cottage cheese...but much better alone or on ice cream, toast, etc.
Would any of you have any ideas on what to add to cottage cheese??
just reading through the threads ... it looks like i'm gonna be eating foods i've never really eaten before... cottage cheese i've only ever had in my lasagna...
I had never had cottage cheese before starting on LAWL. Actually, I didn't eat three times a day before LAWL.
The cottage cheese I think is an acquired taste. I have a hard time eating it alone, and started off with pineapple and cottage cheese which was super yummy...if you can eat pineapple it is definitely worth a try - as well as I am sure all the suggestions above.
I seen in the February food diary someone has been eating Ricotta with the diet version chocolate sauce (I think it is sugar free or fat free??) I have never had Ricotta or the chocolate sauce, so think I am going to give it a whirl as well

That is me. I got used to having ricotta cheese for dessert on South Beach. Because it is a protein, it helps keep my stomach statisfied at night. And 2oz is plenty. You can add the chocolate syrup to it or expresso powder or SF vanilla extract. The chocolate sauce I've been using is reduced-sugar. It has been very satisfying for me.
5 or 6... lol... i was havin a hard time with the idea of three... lol... now i know they are smaller meals but still... there is gonna be a lot of adujusting to do... but i'm still really excited about it all... lol
Aleta, tried the Ricotta and RS chocolate sauce yesterday...OMG it is good!! Glad you filled in the daily food diary here, I would never have thought of it
