Kristen, You are hillarious!

I haven't responded to this post yet, because honestly, I find the thought of it terrifying. I think that's probably a HUGE clue that I Need this challenge..lol.
I had put my scale in the hall closet for 4 days...that was the longest I could do it on my own, but.................

Count me in, please!:D

Mama Nicole 01-24-2007 12:08 PM

WTG Rhonda...........as you can see, some of us will have to do a WI at least once during this challenge........for TBL contest.....but this will be a good exercise for all of us. I am seriously considering retiring my HS if I do well with this challenge, and only using the COD WI. This is only a thought.......at this point. As I am typing it, I am thinking to myself......."yeah, right!!!"

marzbe 01-24-2007 12:45 PM

Nicole,

I used the home scale the first 2 weeks then after I was up on it but down at the COD, decided it wasn't worth the headache. Granted I also said in the beginning I would only look at the scale once a week, preferably the day I was lower. Of course that's not the case either! :goodscale

Maybe there's a reason personal trainers don't weigh clients on a weekly basis :tantrum:

So is the official no day Tuesday or Wednesday for next week?

Kimphin 01-24-2007 12:50 PM

Yeah, I need this challenge. DH told me I was being a nutjob yesterday about my daily WI's!

She's up! She's down! wait.... no... yes.

Stop the insanity!

bizlawchik 01-25-2007 11:41 AM

OK... so... we do the no-scale challenge starting next wed. after Slim Down challenge? And we only use it if we do the TBL challenge? How long is this for?

Mama Nicole 01-25-2007 12:21 PM

Yes, it is Wednesday........it is for, um......yeah........7 days!! Whooohooo's will have to be for POP days instead of for silly numbers that make us crabby or ecstatic!!!! I may put my home scale away for a few months, depending on how I feel after this challenge. We'll see :)

MickeySue 01-26-2007 10:31 AM

I like it; I am in....7 days no scale starting Wednesday.

I started Gold plan last week and this could be interesting....

Kim..........your DH sounds sooo funny. I FEEL like a nutjob with the scale lately. I did, however, very much enjoy my HSBNWI this a.m., as it read 193.4. Who knows where it will be tomorrow! I did an emergency TO yesterday (and today), as I was just out of control (my mind). Anywho......you are not alone.......we are all "nutjobs" when it comes to the scale it seems.

Michelle......good to see you. How have you been???

MickeySue 01-26-2007 10:45 AM

I have been doing great...just very busy around here...

I have been bouncing between 178 and 182 for 3 weeks now so they went ahead and put me on gold thinking I am maintaining on purple. They were not going to move me till I hit 175. So that is frustrating....but I have been staying OP and keeping in good spirits.

Life has been crazy here and I am not seeing an end anytime soon but I will survive it! I do lurk when I can but haven't really had time to keep in touch and no way time for personals. I feel bad always posting but not having time to congratulate everyone and offer my 2 cents or try to be uplifting so I have just not been posting at all.

Thank you for asking!

Mama Nicole 01-26-2007 10:49 AM

Post anyway.........don't ever feel bad about not doing personals!!! We all have busy lives, and honestly......if you are OP, and doing ok, and your life demands you in other places.....that is where you need to be!!! I have been spending wayyy too much time on here lately! We do wonder how you are doing, so check in with us, and let us know how you are doing :)

Mama Nicole 01-31-2007 09:11 AM

Ok, ladies.......today is the day!!! I forgot that some have to WI officially for the slimdown challenge.............but after that............chuck that baby out the window, or put it in the closet, or bring it over to your neighbors house..........whatever it is you have to do.......DO IT!!! It's time to use this 7 day challenge to remind us of the wonderful lifestyle change we have decided on..........not what numbers look like EVERYDAY!!!! We can do this :) I really hope you all have the time over the next week to post how this is going for you, and how you are feeling about it all.
Best of luck to everyone!!!
XOXO

Wondering if I can join. I am not on LA Weight Loss, I have noticed I have been obsessed with the scale since I finally started showing some lose and feel myself thinking about it constantly. My goal is to weigh in every 2 weeks.

katiebug77 01-31-2007 09:29 AM

Nicole - We actually put the scale away last night. DF put it up in the attic, and there is NO WAY I am going up there to get it!!! That would require a ladder, walking around on insulation padding (itchy - yuck!!) Very good thinking on his part!!! This challenge is exactly what I mean. I didn't even realize how obsessed I have become with the stupid scale!!! Good luck everyone.

katiebug77 01-31-2007 09:30 AM

Sorry, typo... this challenge is exactly what I NEED... haven't had my coffe yet.

katiebug77 01-31-2007 09:30 AM

OK another typo... COFFEE. Whew!
