Hey there chickies and roosters:
How is everyone today? I am doing pretty good. It's freezing cold out, but the sun is shining, so that has to be a good thing.
Cassi, I meant to tell you yesterday, WTG on onederland. I know that you will only continue to go down from here. That is great! Also thank you for the FF information with Oranges. I like oranges and I probably won't be eating them after the two days for a while, but I am going to do FF today and tomorrow without the COD knowing. I will just go in and WI on Saturdays and call it good. I think I will request that I don't have to visit with the manager for the rest of my 10 weeks, because I really don't have anything nice to say.
Nicole, I am really jealous of your TO results. Haven't had results like that since I started. Keep up the good work. Tell you Dear sis, that we are waiting on her.
Kim, I dropped out of the TBL challenge, because of my issues with my eating plan. But the funny thing was, I never got a response to my PM. It was really hard to try and fit in there. Most posts just went unanswered. That's not what happens though after you belong here, you guys make everyone feel welcomed and somebody in the group will try and find an answer for you. I love it!
MTDebster, Boo's MOM, Pearl and Makena.......COME OUT TO PLAY!!!! We miss you guys.
Speaking of missing people, where is Rebecca?

Kim - WTG on the bowling. I am so bad at it that I think I've only bowled over 100 once. How sad am I? Suggestion for the taco salad - if you can use the protein, crumble up one or two Morningstar Farms spicy black bean burgers. I think I like that better than taco meat now. And mix 1 1/2T salsa and 1 1/2T rf sour cream together for the dressing. I splurged on the salad chopper blade (it's just a metal rectangle that you chop the heck out of your salad with) and I love it. It chops and mixes everything together in your salad so just the littlest bit of dressing or salsa and sour cream in this case is enough.
Nicole - OMG you had me LOL for real. Supermodels?!?! Can't wait for that! But I think I need to add a foot to my height as well.
Kim2 - 12? BBBBBrrrrrrrrrr!
Joni - Good luck w/your fur babies. Just hang in there and focus on family first. Believe me, the weight will still be there when you're ready.
Katie - Back is touch and go. I went to the orthopedist and he saw me at 5:30 for my 3:00 appt. and said my MRI was fine, here do these exercises. I asked him about the original pain that had been there for 2 1/2 years and he said "Years?" like he had no clue. Then he repeated the MRI looked fine and do exercises. I spoke with my aunt who is a radiologist and pharmacist and she told me to call the MRI center and get the report and then call my regular doctor and get a different orthopedist or a neurologist depending on what the report says. So... in the meantime I'm doing better, but can definitely feel it if I do something strenuous. How about you and the fibro? Are you doing OK with the cold?
Good morning Dan, good morning Candace!

^^ Sure.. I meant to do it a while ago, but never got around to it..
I was skeptical of it at first, but it was so good that I really don't think I'll ever need to make the non-LAWL version again!
I'll post it tonight when I get home so I can get the correct measurements from the cookbook..

Ulanda - Thanks. It has taken forever, but this is the lowest I've been since the 1990's. Good luck w/FF. I know what you mean about unanswered posts over there. I've never posted on message boards before coming here, but everyone made me feel so welcome here when I started, and I think we have a unique community here.

Hello All
Well down 1.2 lbs and if I I can lose 1lb with lots of work by the end of the week I'll be at 45 lbs.. I am SO motivated to get the next 6 off for the VDAY challenge as that will give me 50lbs. I walked into COD after my notes to head office yesterday and the staff was all hush hush.. then were swarming all over me.. smacked the dreaded clapper when I weighed in and were a chatty bunch.. watch out she's coming!! They'll likely have a party when I get to goal and only weigh in once a week LOL!
Making some fish and green beans tonight so going to try and get some work done this afternoon and get supper all prepped to enjoy some time with my little ladies when they come home from school today.
WAY TO GO CASSI!!!!!

Good afternoon everyone!! I know that some of you are doing a no-scale challenge, but I just had to share my good news. At my weigh in today, I was down 2.2 lbs from Monday. That's a total of 8.4 lbs since I started the program a little less than a month ago!!! I'm so excited. I can see the 140's on the horizon. Haven't seen them since early 2004.
Cassi - Hope your DD feels better. Also, Kim (I think) mentioned something about a "Pitza" recipe. Sounds like something I'd be interested in. Is it posted anywhere? I couldn't find it in the recipe threads. I've seriously been missing pizza because I'm not real keen on buying the Carb Enders just to get my pizza fix.
Joni - Your poor doggies!!! I've always had pets (currently 2 dogs and a cat), and it always tears me up when they get sick or something.
Katie - Congrats on the 40lbs!!!

Wendy- for the pitza-use 1/2 pita topped with tomato sauce or pesto sauce or roasted red pepper sauce, rf cheese and whatever toppings you like (obviously not pepperoni!) and broil.
I should also add that Cassi or Katie discovered a sauce at Walmart (?) that they particularly liked. I think it was a pesto but can't remember. Cassi will chime in shortly I'm sure.

Kristen - Thanks!
Wendy - JM's got it. Also, I posted a BBQ Chicken "Pitza" that I will try to find and bump up in the recipe thread.

Ah yes! BBQ sauce-I knew there was one I was forgetting . . . mmm, chicken, BBQ sauce and (I assume) purple onions. . . . Gotta have the purple onions-though I suppose green would do in a pinch!

That's it! Katie was the one who found the pesto. I haven't found it in my grocery store. Actually, I forgot about that one.
Katie - tell me more about the pesto again?

JM - I see you've entered a new decade. Congrats! Somehow with everything going on you're still managing to lose.

Cassi-confession time-that was saturday's weight. However-I had a bit of a bad weekend that I tried to fix the FF and ended up blowing that! Grr! So yesterday i filled out my diary for the next couple of days to get back on track. I don't think I can do extended periods of meal replacements. I end up binging. Once or twice a week is all I can handle.
So-back in the saddle again. Now if only I would stay in there! Jumping on and off is making me weary

I know what you mean. I wasn't ready for any more TO at the beginning of the year, and I still don't know how I stuck out the 16 day challenge. When everyone did TO at the beginning of the year, I just wanted to focus on staying OP. No fancy stuf. 2 bars a day, no shakes, hot chocolate, etc. It's like the mentality of all or nothing. You deprive your body to the point where you feel really deprived and then you binge. Been there! But good luck on the back to basics.
