Or sit in a sunny window if you can't get out. Exposing yourself to sunlight boosts production of the feel-good brain chemical serotonin, which can curb cravings. "When serotonin production is low, people tend to crave high-calorie, high-fat carbohydrates such as cakes, cookies and chips," says Janice Taylor, a weight-loss coach in New York City and author of Our Lady of Weight Loss (Studio, 2006).


I got too much sun this weekend -- my back is really burnt. My swimsuit had a low cut back in it and we spent most of Sunday afternoon at the pool.

Put some Aloe on that back....
