    Research at the Smell & Taste Treatment and Research Foundation found that when overweight people inhaled a blend of peppermint, banana and green apple aromas whenever they felt like eating, they lost considerable weight during six months, despite being instructed not to deviate from their usual diet and exercise habits. "It may be that aromas satisfy cravings because 90% of what we call taste is really smell," explains Alan R. Hirsch, MD, director of the Chicago-based foundation.

  • That is sort of the thing my co-worker tells me...I don't have a sense of smell...she always says I over eat cause I can't enjoy my food because I can't smell...go figure!
  • Need to get out my candles again. I use to burn one called Struedle and Spice, it smelled soooooooo good.
