Default Newbie with Questions

Hi everyone!

I've seen Jorge on Tv, and have been seeing some amazing results on your "tickers". I really need to lose about 30 lb's, and want to know how long you all have been on this program? Did you find it easy to stick with, and follow?

Thanks!

Thumbs up My experience with the 3 hour diet

Hello there,

I will have been on Cruise's diet for 1 month this Tuesday and i'm happy to say that this has been the BEST and EASIEST diet i've ever tried.. and i have tried my fair share of diets before.. I have only lost 7 pounds but i only need to lose about 20, although i'm aiming at 27.. so i guess thats why it has been kind of slow.. the more you need to lose, the faster it will drop i guess.

The most important thing about this diet is the PLANNING and TIMEING!! If you want to try it, you will have to do a lot of meal planning and you have to make sure that your schedule will work with eating every 3 hours..

The diet is very simple and does not exclude any kinds of food entirely, and that is really important coz you don't feel deprived.. you feel that "if i want to eat THAT i can"..

Whats good about it also is that it teaches you good eating habits..

So far its been very easy for me.. i'm never hungry.. and don't feel deprived.. I actually forget that i'm on a diet sometimes, it more like a lifestyle as someone once told me..

Well, i hope some of the other ladies who have been on the diet for a while will give you some feedback..

Hope that helped..

Cheers,
Emma

Hi Amanda

Looks like you made the important decision that will change the rest of your life. The reason why losing weight is so successful is because it's not a diet. It's a lifestyle change that you do. I have been living this lifestyle since September 2004 and lost more then 60 pounds. But losing the weight really is just a result of my lifestyle change. In the process, it has given me self-esteem, a healthy back (no more daily pain), great health (rarely sick), so on... The changes are amazing in my life are amazing. Although I've hit a few bumps in the road along the way, I always get right back on track because it's a lifestyle and not a diet.

So join the board here with us. The support is one of the things that keeps us motivated and allows us to talk all the time about our ups and downs!

Thank you for the info! I guess what I need to do is find the book, maybe at the library, and see if this is the right thing for me. I still don't quite understand how it all works.... There's gotta be a special formula, or something, so much veggies, this much protien, etc...

We can share our personal experiences but you have to read the book to understand how it works. Jorge explains the book much better then we could ever do. It's all about eating balanced meals and 8 minutes of exercise per day to tone your muscles to keep your metabolism going 24 hours a day to burn energy/calories. Add to that a great support system to help you succeed and the pounds will melt off every week! But you need to read the book to understand Jorge's lifestyle. I'm sure you'll find the book at the library.

The formula:

1/4 of your plate is protein
1/4 of your plate is carb
1/2 of your plate is vegetables or fruit
small amount of fat if your meal does not already contain it.
Drink plenty of water @ least 8 8oz glasses, and extra if you drink anything with caffiene in it.
Best to eat fruit in the morning due to frutose(natural sugar)more likely to burn the calories from it instead of storing it.
When or if you are still hungry add freebies and drink more water before trying anything else, it often helps. Sometimes especially if you are exercising you may actually need to add a few more calories to your food plan, If you are not getting enough your body will attempt to go into starvation mode.

That is about it. Hope this helps!

That helps a great deal! Thank you! I also read the Sticky about the foods, and on there it said so many calories for protien, veggies, etc...
