Monday WI

Morning all!

I am down one pound! I am happy! I seemed to eat out alot again and still lost. Yea me! I am not 100% yet but I believe I have really changed some habits...Like drinking coffee with only cream no sugar, and I have NO craving for chocolate anymore!!! That has always been my major defeat.

How is everyone doin? Laurie, Tammy, Marcie, Daisy, Teri, ...I am having a memory loss moment...everyone else I haven't mentioned...come back!!!

Hi Vicki,

Congratulations on your loss. Today, my gf and I are going into Philadelphia to buy theater tickets for a show in April. Donald's cousins have offered to stay overnight with him so that my gf and I can go to a play, have dinner, stay overnight and then, go to a museum the next day. What a wonderful gift for me.

I am VERY excited.

Lynn

Way to go, Vicki! No cravings for chocolate?!? Impressive!

Lynn, I'm so happy you will have the opportunity to have a girl's night! Now, you need a cute outfit for the occasion... woo hoo!

floridarusty 02-27-2006 10:24 AM

Good for you Lynn, you deserve a nice relaxing couple of days.

Things here have just been CRAZY, I'm not really paying attention to my food much and therefore am up 3 lbs. I had to change my ticker. Well, I am trying very hard to get back on track this week.

Life changing events going on in our lives at the moment and all should be settled down or resolved in the next 2 weeks......I'll let you all know the details then.

And my sister has still not returned any calls about info on my BIL, so I am assuming that he is doing the best he can....I HATE being so far away. This woman can use a computer but is the worst at sending e-mails. I guess she is just overwhelmed with her life at the moment too.

So, here is to a new week, a good week.

Happy to see many of you STS or losing.....keep it up.

Phyllis

Congrats on your weight loss Vicki - its so important to change those habits to good ones. I'm proud of you:hug:

Lynn, what show are you and your friend going to see? What a great gift for you:carrot:

Phyllis, so sorry to hear about all the commotion - I hope things settle down for you real soon.

Well, I am doing horrible this time. I am so not motivated and that is the biggest hurdle for me - what's it going to take? I work with a woman who has lost 80 pounds and now weights less than me - I am so happy for her, however, she lost it doing the Optifast program where you drink shakes. It is under doctor supervision and she has been doing this since August - now she is starting to incorporate meals once a day - she can have a lean cuisine. It scares me to think I can't get my weight under control. I hope once the weather gets warmer, I can get out and walk more. Still don't have a pedometer:mad: But I am going to get one. Okay, enough rambling - time to get back to work:dizzy:

finally down from 212 to 210.5 the scale has not moved in so long i was starting to wonder if it had forgotten how. It does feel good, but I am also encouraged that just sticking with it can and will eventually make a difference. Giving up and giving in seem to creep upon us frequently when change does not happen fast enough. Then again change can often cause such great drama in our lives that we tend to hide from it. Interesting how when we want change we are like eager children running after an ice cream truck and when we don't we feel like we just got hit by that same truck we were just so enthusiastically chasing. This year I promise to embrace change knowing in my heart that not only can change be good but even necessary to our own survival.Join me and see your new life in the mix for 2006!

Hi everyone,

I am down 1 pound - but barely! I hope it will stick!

hockeyfan7 02-27-2006 02:43 PM

Afternoon everyone!

I was up a pound this week -- but I think it's from all the cold medicine I've been ingesting as I haven't been eating too many calories. Cough drops and Nyquil both have a lot of sugar in them.

Went to the doctor this morning and got antiobiotics, an inhaler and cough medicine. This is halfway through week 3 of this crap so I decided enough is enough.

Tammy - congrats and it's good to hear from you. I miss you.

Teri - I have a friend who did Optifast years ago. When she started doing normal food, she gained it all back. Then she lost it all on Atkins and now she's gaining it all back again. Any time you eliminate whole food groups or whole foods, it starts to come back again if you can't keep up that program for the rest of your life.

Vicki - how did you stop the chocolate cravings? Share girl! I need to know and I need to know NOW!!! The Easter candy in the store is driving me nuts!

Hi everyone,
I am new to this site. After gaining 5 or 7 pounds since my wedding, which was only 8 months ago, I decided it is time to really count and write down my points. In the past few weeks I have written down my points for about 10 days max and then I thought oh I can wait a little longer to start...oops:shrug: Now with Spring around the corner and my pants feeling a little tighter I decided to give it all I've got! Congratulations to all of you that have lost weight this week:bravo: Hopefully I will be able to do the same soon;)

Lafayette 02-27-2006 09:44 PM

"Mad", are you doing Weight Watchers? I read a great book that suggested you should get in the habit of writing doen everything you eat for two weeks prior to starting your diet to build the habit- would that help you?

Congrats to all! I STS but bought a size 8 suit (HOLY #@%!) today for my second interview this Thursday. It is just a little snug around the waist and saddlebags (ugh!) but fit much better than the 10 which made me look homeless/too young for the job! I started in a size 12 four pounds and almost two months ago.

I am pulling out all the stops and getting my hair colored, too. The gray has REALLY gotten noticeable- when did that happen?!?

bb743 02-28-2006 08:21 AM

:nono: Confession time for me. I was up that 1/2 lb. that I have been playing with for the last few weeks. This is about to be so discouraging, but I know that I have to stick with this and get my act together. :kickcan:I am doing good on drinking the water:carrot:, but I can't stay out of the restaurants. I guess I better go to the grocery store for some serious healthy shopping and get back on track.:dust:come this way

Lafayette 02-28-2006 11:31 AM

Bren, think great spring clothes!!!

bb743 02-28-2006 01:11 PM

Ok, I'm thinking great spring clothes, more energy, just healthier all around, but when the weekend comes or the opportunity to eat out, all I can think is yum yum.:D:. I know what my problem is, it's just working through it. Thank you for the encouragement, I'll do better.+
