A thought...

I was wondering... you know how many of you are struggling even though you are doing everything you are supposed to? I was wondering if maybe all the exercise you are doing requires more fuel? You guys DO know that this diet is designed to work with no inceased activity. Adding activity is not BAD - but I can not help but wonder if this may require more calories...

Anyone want to ask at JC site and see? Or am I way way off base here?

For those interested in knowing -I do very little intentional exercise. I am fairly active in my day to day life and I do at least 10 minutes of TaiChi but none of this gym stuff etc. I have steadily lost 1lb a week even during TOM. This prompted me to feel guilty when I see those of you trying so hard and STS or gaining. SO I started thinking what mat cause that... I remember reading that JC designed the diet to work with no increase in activity - this is good for folks with health issues that prevent that - plus it allows people like me who need to see results before investing that extra time in exercise...

I am prattling on and on here... sorry... Just wondering what you guys think?

Yeah. I was actually being good and really wasn't losing. I know our bodies change, blah, blah, blah, but I have never had this much difficulty with shaving off the extra holiday weight before. I almost seemed worse after I started the diet. I blamed my age- never trust anyone over 30! I am very active (avg. 7,000 steps) even without heading to the gym. I started to lose when I was eating more than this diet allows (but still healthy) and working out. Despite my love of gingerbread, I have stayed the same over this past week so I am thinking 50-100 extra snack calories are worth trying for the people who are very active. I have abandoned the 3 hour eating pattern because I snack more often with more calories and eat smaller meals.

It does require more fuel. I track my calories at another Web site and my normal food intake is supposed to be 1720 in order to lose 2 lbs a week. If I exercise, the site has me track that and adds back the calories I burn during exercise.

For example, if I burn off 500 calories today, I have to eat 2220 in food in order to net my 1720. If I didn't, I'd only be eating 1220 which is not enough for me.

Yes Susan mentioned this to me as I'm having a hard time dropping the weight. Hey Susan what website are you using for the calorie count?
The only exercises I do is Curves 3x's a week, and I'm doing the WATP dvd's, and riding my exercise bike a couple of times a week. Then just normal day to day stuff and I work 3x's a week.
Also, anyone know why my siggy won't show up? It's suppose to but I've noticed it's not since last night.
