It's a Thinner Thursday
 

Good morning everyone! What are you going to do today to make your Thursday thinner? I'm going to drink all the water today -- I'm finally starting to feel closer to normal.

It snowed here in Denver last night - we got about 4" in the city and my normal 12 minute commute turned into 40. Sorry Donna, but I still hate snow. The cats like it because it brings more birds to the feeder outside the window for kitty TV.

I'm finally going to get my kitchen counters tiled next week. I bought all the materials last May and I've been waiting on DH to start the project. I gave up and hired a friend to do it. He's a college student and his wife just started back to school too, so I figure they can use the money. He tiled their kitchen so I know he can do it. I can't wait. He's going to do my bathroom floor too -- I have this really ugly gold shiny lineoleum from the 70s right now.

Anyone have exciting weekend plans? Monday is a holiday for me since I work for a national bank, so I'm taking a vacation day tomorrow and making it a 4-day weekend. I plan to spend Friday enjoying my big screen TV since DH has to work :D :D

I am celebrating my birthday tomorrow 2/17. I plan to have fun.

Saturday we are going to dinner and a show with friends. No long weekend for those of us in the moving and storage industry. We are lucky we have Christmas off.

What am I going to do to make Thursday thinner? Same thing I have been doing all year. If it ain't broke - don't fix it.

I shovelled this wet, miserable, freezing stuff that showed up... we had thunder, lightning, hail and freezing rain before we finally got snow. What a mess! I left work early after getting there late. My boyfriend's 4-wheel drive saved me from having to cook again tonight... we are not milk and toilet paper people. We are restaurant leftover people... I was actually good! I have an extra salad in the fridge and I stuck with grilled chicken. Who knew?

This weekend, I'm getting my mom ready for a trip to visit my sister in Germany. I'm buying her a wheeled piece of luggage and somehow convincing her that my sister will have shampoo, toothpaste and everything else she's determined to pack in massive quantities!
