I am proud to say...........

even though I have only lost 9lbs, I think my hormonal troubles are working their self out. I have PCOS and don't normally see TOM but losing weight really helps knock things into place where they should be, so I think so far losing even those 9lbs my body is trying to get hormonally situated and I may be even close to seeing TOM again!! LOL! :carrot: I know thats not a biggie to some of you but if you ever have had hormone troubles or something like PCOS, having a normal TOM where it comes on its on is a HUGE accomplishment! I think I am heading in the right direction!!! :carrot:

YAY ME!!

All right Laurie!!!!! This way of life is benefitting you in more ways than one!!!

Way to go Laurie! That's great.

I can't relate to wanting TOM to come -- I take my birth control pills every month and skip the placebo row to make mine not come except once every 4 months.

Of course, after having had it every single day for 18 months, I don't care if I ever see it again!

It's funny how different physical problems make us react in different ways to the same thing.:o

Hockey,
I dislike the 5-6 days. The thought of every single day for 18 mths would make a person want to just crawl in a corner and fade away.

Hey Laurie,

Obviously, your body likes this way of eating. Keep up the great work! :cp:

Tom

I had the same problem. I was have it every month for the past 17 years but in september of 0. I had broke my ankle and had surgery the dayof surgery i was on my period . The Next day after surgery my period was gone i thought maybe because of have of the surgery and been stress it will come back on but it did't for 4 months . Then I went to the doctor and she was the one who told me to lose weight and get on birth control . This is my first month on the pills.

Yeah- weight loss is a huge factor, too. I have hormone issues and I could tell everything was messed up with a 10 pound gain. Of course, another ten had to go on before I was motivated... I still like the idea of not getting it at all much better. The longest I had was 1.5 years after I had abdominal surgery. I feel like I've met my lifetime quota!
