The last straw
OK - the meltdown finally happened. This week, Donald was hospitalized (Sunday), I punctured my hand (Thursday), I went to the ER (Friday & Saturday), Donald fell & we had to get 911 to get him off the floor (Sat), I scraped my car against the garage door (Friday), and we had no electricity today for most of the day.
I finally broke down this afternoon - ate pizza (3 slices), ice cream cone, and cookies (8). Now, I'm going back to my original Challenge Goal this week. 1. From Jan 2nd - Jan 31st I am going to plan my meals the night before & then eat what I have planned. 2. I will eat at least 3 vegetables and at least 1 fruit/day. 3. I will eat/drink at least 2 portions of calcium/day. 4. I will weigh myself each day and record it in my Weight Commander tracker. Hopefully, I will have a boring week coming my way. |
I highly recommend a good bottle of wine! It always makes me feel better! lol
|
Oh wow Lynn, I hope this up coming week is much better for you guys!!
|
Lynn,
No worries. We all fall off the wagon from time to time. Just pick yourself up and get back OP (and it looks like that is what you are doing)! I am so sorry to hear about your week. It does sound stressful. I hope you have a better one this week. |
Thank you. I feel much better - just needed some "poor babies."
|
I go with the bottle of wine!!!
Sometimes we need to do things like that, so you did it and I hope you enjoyed every single bite. But Anita's right just get right back on track and any damage done will be lost quickly. We got a big gift basket from one of our customers and it is sitting on my kitchen counter full of cookies, candy. Tomorrow I am putting it away out of site. My daughter & her family are coming in 4 wks. and I will save it for them, they will eat it. It's hard sometimes.....just move on. Phyllis |
Yest another vote for the wine...
Lynn - sometimes this stuff happens... Dust yourself off and carry on... Do not beat yourself up! You did better than most would have with that week - you better believe it! |
Yes, go for the wine!
I fall all the time. One of my favorite sayings is you only fail if you stay down. You already have a plan, and that makes you a success!!!! Keep up the good work. |
Wow what a week...I hope it will be calm for you this week...you need it!!!
Hope Donald is doing well...Take care of yourself too!! OP this week we can do it!!! |
Lynn, I am so sorry your week was tough!! This week has to be better!! How is Donald doing now? How is your hand?
I opt for the wine, myself (hehe). |
Donald is doing well - he had to stay in bed yesterday bc of no electric & new aid, but he's in the LR today & happy.
My hand is sore, but not infected. The antibiotic was making me sick. Saw my Dr. this morning for my wi. He said I can stop the meds - yay! Everything is fine. I just needed some hugs - which, of course, I got here. Teri, are you still at 172? I thought you were at 170? Lynn |
I was at 170 on Saturday morning. Then I weighed in this morning and I was at 170.5, so 1/2 pound snuck in there!! I need to change my tracker - will do that right now.
How did you do - did you make it to 169? I haven't had a chance to read all the posts. I'm working on it:lol: |
I'm was at 169.6 yesterday. At 168 this morning. I don't know why my tracker shows up sometimes but not others.
|
It is probably an admin setting on the board - if the post is over so many characters then it will post the siggie - or maybe it only posts it the first time in a thread?
Either way this is a setting usually chosen for the sake of saving memory space on the server. YOu can always look at someone's ticker by clicking on their name above their avatar! |
