Good Morning Everyone,

http://www.feebleminds-gifs.com/donderwolk.gif

Lovely day today - if you're a duck! Oh well, I need to work on my syllabus for next week - I start my next class on Tuesday & they have changed the rules for what we can do in the class. There is a law about privacy - FERPA - related to making students' records secure. This is why teachers can no longer post students' grades for everyone to see.

UoP has decided that this law prohibits us from giving students feedback about their assignments (even if there is no grade) in public forums. The class I am to teach was based on students putting their papers up and everyone providing feedback so the students could revise their papers before submitting them for grades. UoP says we can't do that anymore bc of FERPA. I think they are misinterpreting the law, but, regardless, I need to change my syllabus. That will keep my busy this weekend.

Teri, I may be at 168 tomorrow. I just weighed myself & I'm 168.6 this morning.:carrot:

Hope we all have a happy and healthy day,

Lynn

Morning everyone. Feeling alittle frustrated about WI, I got on the scale this morning and STS. I have done pretty well this past week, except for a few little mishaps but nothing that wouldn't cause me really to lose, considering how I was eating before starting the plan. Anyone have any speical plans today? Not me.

Its perfect weather for a duck around here too Lynn, bad storms last night. Now sure what the weather holds for us today. Not sure what is going on with me today, kinda in a pissy mood at myself since I got on the scale and saw the results.

Any way gotta go figure out what to eat for breakfast.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Burrrrr! It is cold here in Kentucky. We got some snow last night. Just enough to make the grass white. Now yesterday, I went to school without a jacket. Our weather this month is crazy. We go from 60's to 20's over night. I think that is why I am not feeling well. My throat and nose is killing me. My stomach is hurting today. I hope I don't get this yuky (sp?) stomach virus that is going around. The people that have gotten it have been sick with it for a week. I can't imagine being throwing up for a week. :barf: I am not going to do much today, but take it easy.

DaisyBug08004 01-14-2006 09:06 AM

It is not a real exciting day here either. I haven't peeked - but I don't feel like I have lost anything. Is okay - I figure my body is adjusting - plus I am a slow loser - my body fights me every step of the way, I just expect it now.

Not sure what today will bring but I don't feel like doing anything. Maybe I will paint the bathroom though - I don't know...

Tomorrow I go to lunch with my girlfriend. That is something to look forward to. Have a good day you guys - Oh - and Melissa - hope you are feeling better soon!

floridarusty 01-14-2006 09:44 AM

Fell better Melissia, all that cold and stomach flu are going around here also.
This cold of mine is (hopefully) at the end now...been a good week, my dh cold lasted about 2 wks. :(

I don't WI until Monday but I can tell I am up today....I feel bloated. I did have a patty melt last night with fries :o, I only ate about 1/3 of the hambuger and a small handful of fries and they were not the greasy kind.
So I will try to be very good between now and Monday.

It is colder here in Fl. today, down in the 30's the next 2 nights but then back up to the 70's - I agree this weather is strange this year.

No plans here this week-end either, my dh is home today. He usually plalys golf but the wind is blowing so hard they can't play...so he gets really bored and I have a new book I want to try to read, will see how this works out.:dizzy:

Have a nice weekend everyone and Laurie don't let it get ya down, you did it before you'll do it again :carrot:

:T Hey Lynn - I am actually down 2 pounds to 170. Don't think I will make it to 169 unless I starve myself and run around the block 50 times:lol:.

Melissa - it is cold outside and very windy - we went from 62 degrees yesterday to 30 something today. I agree, the weather has been sucky!! Makes for all kinds of illnesses. Hope you are not catching anything - lots of vitamin C and WATER:hug:

Laurie dear, you know how this weight thing goes. Up and down like a roller coaster - don't let it get you down because you know you could get on the scale tomorrow and show a 2 pound loss. If I went by how I felt in my clothes, I would have thought for sure I gained. Hang in there - we love you!!!:grouphug:

Phyllis - whats the new book you are reading? I love to read and need some good material. What type of books do you like to read?

Daisy - have fun with your girlfriend at lunch tomorrow. One of my favorite things is eating out :T - bummer, huh!! I need some new hobbies. Everything I love to do either involves spending money or eating out:dizzy: !

I think I am just totally hormonal lately, my body is screwy and I dont' have Aunt Flo come visit regularly like most people do, its that insulin and low sugar thing again. But I have decided to get back on the pill to help regulate me and it will hopefully help with regulating these hormonal mood swings I have.

omaziz 01-14-2006 10:41 AM

Hi all

Nothing going on for me...son is having a friend sleep over tonight, I am going to be on the computer here most of the day doing postings for work. If anyone wants to chat, I am vicki3232 on yahooIM!!

there is snow on the ground here too...light coating..it was really windy last night and rained some yesterday...seems the weather is weird everywhere...

I just had 2 kashi waffles with some simply fruit spread on them...I am counting that as my fruit...still thinking about the protien...

Yes Laurie, it probably is hormonal...you are probably bloated but because you have lost you don't feel it...

Have a great day all!

Laurie I am the same way - that is why I asked you about PCOS.

LaurieM35 01-14-2006 11:06 AM

The thing is I have PCOS and it was discovered while I was TTC with my daughter, but when i was on JC last year and when I lost about 15 lbs or so that is when I started having TOM regularly but once I gain back those 15 lbs, TOM goes away so that is one reason too I am determined to get the weight off for good. Health reasons

DaisyBug08004 01-14-2006 11:37 AM

I knew that you had PCOS - I just knew it!

TOM is never regular for me. Never has been - even when I was thinner. That is why this diet works so well for you Laurie. ANd it is also why your body, like mine, is going to fight you tooth and nail every step along the way. I am not going to let you give up... You have to just keep switching things around - it will work eventually. We can keep each other focused when we want to quit... it is very discouraging... but we can not give up!

floridarusty 01-14-2006 11:58 AM

Teri I am reading "Your Body Believes Every Word You Say" the language of the body/mind connection by Barbara Levine.

I seem to be getting a very negative attitude (mentally) because of my kidney problem and this book is suppose to be very helpful getting a positive attitude again.

I am sure you have been through all of this and it's hard to get a handle on. If it is any good I'll let you know.

Usually I like to read James Patterson or an occasional Danielle Steel for an easy read. I really just love about any type of book when I have the time and can settle down to some quiet time.

What is PCOS?

It is a very rainy day here as well. Nice day to be on the computer!

I took a peek and looks like I just might make being 1 pound down. That is...If I am really good today!

DaisyBug08004 01-14-2006 01:58 PM

PCOS is hormonal in nature - you can learn more about it here.

I am waiting for the groceries to be delivered... not a lot going on here today that is for sure!

LaurieM35 01-14-2006 02:10 PM
