Thought maybe it would work to get a weekly thread going. Everybody start posting again! :)
I had a wonderful weekend at the beach with my DH. Was way off plan but I am ready to make this a perfect OP week and see a loss for WI. :D Nothing new planned for the week. Pretty much same ol'. I have out of town company coming on the 21st so we are still trying to get a bunch of little projects one around here. Today I am planning on finishing the touch up paint in the living room when the babies are down for a nap. Feeling good about the week to come!:carrot: Have a wonderful day everyone! |

I have finally gotten my treadmill up and running (or walking in my case!)!!!:tread: I bought it the day after thanksgiving as my 5:30 am mad dash to the store before work!! Now I HAVE to excersize!!! I spent 1/2 hr today at 3 mph. I think I will stay at that speed for awhile. I am not that young anymore LOL. I think this week I will focus on the excersize and watch what I eat, but hopefully, by next week I can mostly be on program...I just have to get my self going again. I did finally put goals up on my signature...I am hoping that will give me more insentitve to keep going...Hopefully you guys will help me too!!:grouphug: |
Doing great! Vicki! The first week I started regular cardio I lost 4 lbs! Just plan ahead and you will succeed! You are over halfway to your first goal girl! You can do it!:D :hug:

Today wasn't my best day. I did good untill my son and I where running around and he asked for pizza, I caved ( my 3 hrs where about up but the meal was well over 400 calories). I haven't done my 8 minutes yet either and may forgo my walk tonight...research paper do tommarrow nd its not done yet. Sigh tommarrow is a new day.

vanilla sky~ where are you from. I am assuming Alaska. I have a sister in Palmer and and other family in Wasilla and Butte. I was up there last May to visit. Just curious:) Hang in there! Tomorrow is a new day and it will be a great one!:D Don't beat yourself up over the pizza. Nothing will sabotage you faster than guilt. Enjoy it and get over it;)

Yes I'm from Alaska.I grew up in Eagle River and now Live in Anchorage. How do you like AK? You came when it was still a little cold, most visitors come during our short summer. I think today is just an all around emotional eating day for me. The stress from school has gotten to me. Tommorrow should be better. My mom is going to watch my son while I spend the day at the school library (cramming). I have all my food for the day pre packed with some extra carrots and fat free popcorn incase I do feel the muchies coming on, this way I won't have an excuse to attck the vending machine. On a good note, I did weigh in again today and the scale says I've lost 1 lb. even with a full tummy:) |
Bought, wrapped and sent UPS all the Christmas gifts:present:up north!!!
Now I can relax. Still have things to get but the main rush is over. We have all the decorations up, :ginger: tree included :tree: and it even got in the 40's last night!!! I know, I know....your all laughing but we were freezing! So this is me relaxing....:xcheer: (right it's water) lol Phyllis |
I LOVE Alaska! I would move up there without a second thought because it is as close I could get to my family if I moved from here. I have 5 brothers and sisters and they all live here (Washington) except the one that loves up there. I also have 2 aunts and my grandfather up there. But it is as FAR as my hubby could get from his family in Minnesota so I don't think we will ever move up there. I have been there a few times. We spent 6 weeks up there one summer when I was younger and I would take the cold over the bugs:p but I love the snow. It osunds like you have your day all planned out! That's a good thing! Way to go on that 1 lb! Keep going and you will be reaching goal before you know it!
Phyllis~I am impressed! I haven't even started shopping yet! But that is unusual forme. I am waiting for my hubby to get paid:dizzy: This week! But I have a list and it will all get done in a day or 2. I refuse to go Christmas eve!:devil: OH! I found out last night that my sister (Alaska) and her hubby will be coming down for Christmas! I am so excited! They didn't think they would be able to because we are all going to Mexico in February. So YAY!! It is really a blessing when we can all be together! I am trying to stay OP today and have lots to get done - that frickin' laundry fairy still hasn't shown up! HAve a wonderful day everyone! |

Phyllis -- congrats on finishing up Christmas shopping. This is the first year where I am also done ahead of time!!! Donna - You are doing well!! I am glad your sis is visiting! Vicki - Good luck with the treadmill! Put it in front of the TV and it makes it a whole lot better!! Vanilla Sky - welcome to the group! Yes, tomorrow is another day but so is the next 3 hours. Just get right back on! I am down a pound today. I want to be down 3 more by Sunday to make up for this week. We will see....highly unlikely but it won't stop me from trying! |
I have a friend in Anchorage she loves it there. We are hoping someday to go on an Cruise up there and have it as one of the stops so I can see her. She sends some beautiful pictures from that area .....I would love to see it in person. Maybe it will be our retirement gift and we can visit in Seattle with my sis.
Glad your sis is coming Donna....we will be seeing most of ours on the web cam this year.....will miss those grandchildren.....I'll have to baby my dog I guess!!! But my hubby would like it better!!! lol Glad to see you posting again Anita....missed you. Vanilla sky, just keep on trying.....you'll get the hang of it. And Vicki do put your treadmill in front of a TV...she's right...I don't use mine unless it is right smack in front of it. Doing Christmas cards......almost forgot about them!!!! Phyllis |

Actually my treadmill is in the basement and we don't have an extra TV to put down there right now. So, I am listening to Harry Potter on tape. I love books on tape. I usually listen to one on my drive to and from work. I have been away from TV so long that to me there isn't reallly anything to watch! The kids watch Nickelodeon and Disney and the hubby watches arabic Tv and I don't feel that what I would want to watch is good for the kids to watch so I just don't watch. I do want to get a TV with a DVD so I can use some walking CDs we will see... Hope all is going well for everyone!!! Gotta go walk!!! :tread: |
Just a quick entry while I'm taking a lunch break, I am doing ok thush far. Couldn't eat all of my snack this morning but am putting the rest of my calories to lunch. I'm having healthy start-chicken alfrado and a saled w/ feta cheese (this would be where the extra calories are going)...yum. I even walked across campus verses driving, to turn in my research paper. Instead of resorting to comfort foods today I'm trying something else... I'm forgoing fashion and wearing slippers to school and no makeup. I want to be comfortable. It's actually working!!! Its a good thing the campus is connected by indoor overpassess though... back to the books

Vicki- Glad to hear you are on your treadmill. Anita- great ambition for this week. Phyllis - I am working on my Christmas cards too. I still need to sign and stamp them all. Donna - You are one busy lady! I wish I had a laundry fairy over here. I am jelous! I love your journaling too. And for me. I now have a fitness trainer! I don't know when we are going to start but it'll probably be soon. We are trading fitness training for massages, since I am a certified massage therapist. Oh did I mention he is absolutly gorgeous!!!!!! My own exewrcise plans for this week: Mon and Tues - nothing Wednesday - PIYO (pilates and Yoga class) Thursday- Kich boxing class Friday - Spinning Class By next week hopefully training sessions will be incorporated in there too. Didn't do good on water today, but I did do good yesterday. Tom is almost gone and I am down 3 pounds. Now if Only I can keep it gone for Sunday WI! I broke down and ate a donut tonight so hopefully if I gain it'll only be by one pound. Glad to see this is picking up again... Ta Ta for now, |

Vicky I think listening to a tape is fine, I sometimes listen to music on my walkman. Hey, what ever works and yes there is a lot of crap on TV....some good shows but if I had children now they wouldn't be watching a lot of it. With our diets we all have to do it our own way, be it listening to tapes, power walking, treadmills, dressing comfy, trainer.....what ever works but the best is having a place like this to come and share our ideas, get new ideas and just chat and receive encouragement.:hug: I too am very happy to see things picking up here, now let's lose those lbs. ladies!!!:ebike: Phyllis |
