Motivation Monday!
Still looking through rose colored glasses? Most of us are in denial about how big we really are. We see ourselves on average about 20 lbs less. My reality check came when I was looking through pictures of Mexico and came across one of me in my bathing suit. I actually had to ask my hunny if I was really that big! Poor guy! What's he suppose to say? LOL! If you don't have a before picture, take one. And update with every 10 lbs you lose. Some of us are motivated by a picture of what we want to look like, some of us take a look at that before picture and that is enough to shell shock us into action! Need some motivation? Try that first. Set a mini goal - whether it's 5 lbs or 10 lbs or even 20. But don't make it so far off that you get to point where you feel you'll never attain it! Then decide on a reward - one that you are passionate about and that you can focus on to keep you motivated. Maybe pedicure or manicure, maybe a day at spa, maybe a weekend vacation. Maybe it's a new outfit you've been looking at for awhile. Whatever it is, make the commitment. Make reservations, or an appointment and post the receipt, buy the outfit and hang it where you will see it everyday, it is very important to make it something you can be excited about, something that when you see your reminder, it will keep you motivated. Tell us what it is! We would love to remind you! :D Remember - baby steps! Get through 3 hrs at a time, then the day, then the week, before you realize it months have passed and WOW are you sexy!! Take action now and attain your goals or in 6 months look back and wish things were different (still!) Make a choice today! Are you ready or are you comfortable with the way you are now? You can do it! You are strong! And everytime you reach a goal - even the little ones! - remember how empowering it is! How it made you feel! Be conscious! Be proud! Be enabled!
