Hard to believe this month is almost over. It has been a very hot month here in Florida and looking forward to Sept. bringing us some relief with cooler evenings and getting out and walking at night.

I am going to dedicate my energy (what there is of it :lol: ) to exercise this week, I haven't even been doing the 8mm. I may keep a thread of it here, I need to be accountable.

Off to do the 8mm to start the week right.....

Good morning - yes much better today. I am developing mouth sores - but, oh well. I guess it goes with the territory!! I agree, I can't wait for cooler weather. I am so tired of these hot and muggy days. I would like to get out and walk, as well. DH has been taking Halle on her walks because of the humidity. For some reason, the doc told me not to get out in this heat.

Took DS and DD shopping for school clothes yesterday - :fr: I can't believe the styles (if you can call it that). All the girls stuff looks like lingerie. So DD and I were battling over what she was and wasn't going to wear. I had a flashback to when I was in jr. high and I wanted my mom to buy me a see through skirt - my argument was you could put a slip under it:lol: I guess paybacks are #(*$*!! DS was not much easier - wasn't interested in anything I liked and wouldn't even consider trying it on. Let's just take it home - he said. Yeah, because I love running back and forth to the mall - NOT!!

Oh well - everyone have a great day - stay dry!!

My son was easy to shop for - He likes everything right now and loves to shop w/ me. ALthough hes only 6 i know that will change one day. Today I have a guy comes out to restrech my carpet that he laid back in Jan. now its getting bubbles all over it. UGH! Then grocery shopping - get DS from school come home nap - and exercise.

Hey ya'll! Anybody gotta cheer me up song? I'm feeling kinda melancholy today- either that or just BLAH! School starts on Wednesday and I can't believe how fast summer has gone. We are getting a little much needed rain today but it reminds me that the RAINS are coming. I love fall and this time of year but I am dreading December and January when It seems to rain endless. Oh well. I got that off my chest so live for today huh? The weather NOW is beautiful.
Not much happening today, jus a few errands. I have to go get Eva's (my kindy kid) info packet and find out who her teacher is and then go get some last minute school supplies. Other than that probably a few loads of laundry and some dishes. Exciting huh? ;)

I agree..I am SO ready for fall!! Kids are off to school and so its much quieter round here..I have one week of peace before I start my new at home computer job...

Teri..you are such a trooper!! I cannot EVEN imagine shopping w/ teenagers after having surgery!!! My hats off to you!! I have 4 boys and yes, I totally understand the whole not wanting to try clothes on thing...WHAT IS UP WITH THAT??? Like we have all the time in the world to go returning clothes!! Geez!!! This year, I made my 15 yr old go shopping with me and he hated it!! I forced him to try on a pair of jeans and when he said they fit, I bought several pairs exactly alike!! Believe it or not, this is his first year EVER of wearing jeans!! He has always HATED jeans and always worn either shorts, sweats, or those nylon ski pant thingies!! I am sooooo glad he will finally wear jeans! I think the "girl" peer pressure is on! Oh well, if it will get him to wear them??!! LOL

Phyllis, are you anywhere near the Katrina storms? Hope you are safe!

Dani and Toeps..sorry I cannot remember you name right now! :o I plead old age... :lol: :dizzy: I remember those days of having younger children, naps, running errands and lugging diaper bags everywhere....enjoy the time you have with them while they are little..it goes SOO fast!!! Good to hear about your days!!
