Teri
How are you doing? You are in our hearts and prayers.
Lynn |
Terri, I hope everything is going alright for you, keeping you in my prayers.
Hugs, Phyllis |
Thanks Lynn and Phyllis - I am having a rough time. The chemo is really making me nauseaus - I can't stand to eat anything!! Now that is a first:lol: I am taking anti-nausea medications, but they make you constipated (yuk). So then I take Senakot-S for the constipation and I get cramps and diahrea (sp). I am having a hard time staying up for this - but I will keep on keepin on. Hope to feel better soon. I think by the time I start feeling better it will be time for my next treatment. I have been reading posts, just not doing much typing - even that seems like an effort right now. I really need the prayers, though!!
Love you, |
Teri:
You've got our prayers. Don't worry about not posting. We'll keep posting for you. Can't wait for the nausea to pass and for you to feel better. |
Teri

|
Teri, My heart and prayers go out to you my dear. I pray that this will go away quickly for you. How often do you have to have chemo? Remember to drink water and but also gatoraide so you have your electrolites with the abdominal problems. You need the magniesium and potasium that water doesn't provide. Try bananas!!!
Take it easy one day at a time!!! :flow1: :flow1: :flow1: |
You need BRAT - Banannas, rice, applesauce, and tea.
|
Interesting - my peditrician always told me the "t stood for toast - dry!
|
Hmmm - just did a quick google search - about half have toast & about half have tea. How about we make it BRATT?
I found out about it when my DD almost died from anesthesia poisoning. She was ill for months (in ICU for 6 weeks). BRAT was what she ate when she finally could eat anything. |
:) ! You learn something new everyday. You can goggle anything - amazing!
Very scary episode to go thru with your DD. How do you get anesthesia poisoning? Did the anesthestiologist overdose her? |
Gee - what is anesthesia poisoning? That is scary!! I was told the "t" in BRAT stood for dry toast too. But, here's the thing, I can't eat anything dry. Its like trying to chew straw (I must look like a :moo:  Cause I chew and chew and chew and it won't go down. I have lost 5 pounds since Tuesday. I can eat scramled eggs for breakfast - yea!! No cereal or anything mush or dry. I can't drink Gatorade or flavored waters because they are sickenly sweet. So I am drinking a ton of green tea and black tea!! It's going to be trial and error for a while. But at least I'm not nauseus any more. I have what they call "stomach awareness" (lol)
Thanks so much for thinking of me and praying for me. I really appreicate and need that right now!! |
