Hi. New here from Chile
 

Hi. My name is Isa and i`m 25 years old. As you can see on my title i`m from Santiago, Chile. I finished university last year and now i work as a journalist (when i found something) The extra weight i have has affected me part of my teen years and my twenties (sorry if i spell it wrong). I suffer from long time strong depression and anxiety problems who lead me to eat, a lot. But this time i really want to change so i`m in a controlled diet with doctors and phsicologist who i hope will help me to make it trought

Welcome to 3FC, Isa! Don't worry about your English, I know exactly what you are saying. :) I hope you do very well with your diet. I also gained weight in the past because of anxiety. You are not alone here, and I hope you get lots of support to help you meet your goals!

I have have anxiety issues, too. My biggest anxiety though is about my health so the only way to make my anxiety better is to lose weight. I have dealt with panic attacks in the past and that was really scary.

By the way, what language is spoken in Chile? Is it Spanish? I work with a lot of children who are immigrants and speak Spanish (I am a teacher). I don't know much Spanish, though. It's amazing how fast the children learn English when they get to school.

I just wanted to say welcome, and your english is perfect. There are lots of great threads here, so feel free to jump in wherever you want to. :)

Thans very much girls for you welcome words. Tomorrow i`m starting a new diet and i already planed all the food that i`m gonna eat during the week. In that way i don`t get tented and my mom feels like she has some control, good for both of us.

And yes, spanish is the oficcial lenguage here. Not a lot of people speak english or other lenaguages i speak english, a very little of french (the french class it was for only 2 years) and hungarian (not perfect) because my mom is from there.

All my family have weight issues. My little sister (she is 22 now) was anorexic when she was 15 and she spend a few weeks in the hospital, the rest of the family is only fat lol.
