Help! I'm a newbie.

Hi, I'm a newbie and need any help. I have never been successful weightloss. I don't have a lot of money to spend on diets and stuff. So to make it short I could use a buddy and any help or tips you have to offer.

Hi Collegegirl!

:wel3fc: There's lots of great people here that have oodles of great ideas and support and encouragement. What diet plan are you wanting to do? Do you have an exercise plan?

I'm going to suggest that you have a look at calorie counting and the whole foods threads. Ordinary food from the grocer!
And 3FC ;) lots of free tips, advice and encouragement!

Ordinary food from the grocer works for me. You might even save money if you are not buying junk food (which makes you hungry all the time) and spending money at fast food places. Why should they have all your money that you could spend on smaller, cuter clothes? My advice is to stay on the site to get great tips and motivation. You can do it:)

I'm new too. It's hard to know what to try so I will also try the calorie counting. I have a lot to loose and slow and steady is what the doctor ordered. I look ward to learning and getting support until I have gained enough knowledge to be able to support other new people.

:welcome: Fairyanne!!!! Good luck to you. Slow and steady is the best. You can do it!! :)

I can't do a lot physically because I have knee, hip, and back problems. My doctor said to just walk, about an hour a day. Next Semester I can start weight training to build the strength back up that I lost with my last 2 surgeries. I don't eat a lot, no junk food and I only drink water and 2% milk.

collegegirl89 11-06-2006 10:09 PM

I rarely eat junk food and I only drink water and 2% milk. If you have any money-saving tips I'm all ears. I live with my grandparents and younger brother. My grandfather is disabled, as am I.
I get upset sometimes because my brother always eats junk food and is tall and skinny, I'm short and overweight.
I just look at food and I gain weight.
