New here & Starting over too
I have done a WOE with my church counting calories and lost 23 lbs. in like 5mo. only to gain all but 6 lbs.back in 2 months!!! I now for the last 3 whole days have been on low carb.. my problem is :
:( CONSTIPATION :( also I have not lost an oz. I have to say I have counted my carbs and I know I haven't gone over 20 each day..I have eaten dried apricots to help my problem but not over my carb amt. Can someone help me PLEASE..It would be greatly appreciated.I don't want to but,I will have to abandon this woe if this continues. You've come to a great place for advice, support & encouragement! If the low carb plan you are doing is Atkins....dried apricots are a no no even if they are within the daily carb limit. I'm not sure if they allowed on South Beach at Phase 1 or not. Would you mind posting your daily menu? There may be things you are eating that you shouldn't be or its possible you may not be eating enough. You CAN do this!!! All the best to you!! Kim |
The author of South Beach diet recommends taking Metamucil 15 minutes before eating. I am not sure how many carbs. are in it. Here is the website to find out more info. http://www.metamucil.com/
It is fiber that you need. It also helps to fill up your tummy because the fiber slows down the digestive system which is what we want. We don't become as hungry an hour later. The less insulin your pancreas has to make the better for your health. Also drink lots of water. When you finally do eat bread again remember to eat multi-grain bread. Hope this helps TwoPeasInAPod |
Thank you for the quick replies, I figured it was the apricots. I have stopped eating them. I also took benefiber and a natural laxative..it worked. I will post my daily menu..should I do it here?
Breakfast 2 eggs coffee black Lunch 1 Whopper no bun, no katsup, no onion..I usually don't do this but I was out for the day.
