gonna try

  • I am almost 61. On medication for a bad back and other abnomalitiles, quit smoking on Mar.20. 2006 and am now fighting the weight battle. Any suggestion on what I can do. Please remember it is impossible to exersice without a lot of pain afterwards.
  • Hello!.. Congratulations for quitting smoking!! As for the exercise, Richard Simmons have a video that you can do sitting down. It's called Sit Tight and have heard that people do great with that. You can get it on ebay or kmart, walmart if that still carry them. You do exercise in a chair, without harming any joints.. Hope this helps and Good luck!
  • Hi Patti, You can loose weight without the exercise. It's harder and you need to move as much as you can, but it is ossible. My friend has had almost every joint in her body replaced due to artharitis. The Dr. wouldn't do the first hip untill she lost 50 lb. and she did it. Now she has had both hips done, both shoulder and elbow joints done, both knees done, numerious finger joints replaced. She knows she has to keep the weight off or do damage to the new joints and she does. She is truly remarkable.

You can probably get your local library to order you the tape mentioned above to try before you buy it. Can you walk? I have a bad back too and there are lots of things I can't do, but lots of things I can too.

Congratulations on quitting smoking! If you can do that girl, you can get the weight off too!!!!
