Hi Everyone:)

I am 43 years old. I had wls in Feb 2006. I have lost 60 lbs, but I see I am creeping back into my old habit of pick pick pick. I need to get serious about this tool I have been given.
I dont exercise. I had 2 major surgeries in the last 6 months (abdominal hernia's), and I am scared of developing another tear, but I need motivation because I can walk.
I am looking into the south beach diet because I see that my bad habits are all carb related! I am a carb addict.
Hope to get to know you all better, I need the motivation and support.
Denise

Hi Denise!

I used to be a carb addict too. Cutting out processed foods eventually made me lose my taste for carbs. Exercise seems to help reduce food cravings too, and generally makes me feel better physically and mentally.

You have done so great already losing the 60 pounds. Whatever exercise you are able to do is worth doing, because it will help you recover your health sooner as well as reach your weight loss goal.

Good luck! We're glad you're here!

Carbs are definitely the enemy. Boy can I overeat those. Since I have no portion control - I have to pretty much avoid carbs at all costs. And it's been working. Sixty pounds is amazing - you should be so happy. Welcome and good luck.
