Hi,

My name is Katie and I am a 33 year old newlywed (6 weeks) living in Denver. A little over a year ago I hit my goal weight of 145 lbs (I am 5'8" with a large frame), but since last Christmas I began binge eating and now weigh about 180lbs. Sadly, about 20 of those pounds have come since my wedding from uncontrolled eating. Binge eating was never a problem of mine prior to late 2005. My start weight before my last diet was 176. It took me exactly 1 year to reach 145.

I am here to make some friends and seek support as I try to overcome my overeating issues and try to figure out what makes me do this - as I try to journey back to 145.

Thank you so much for the warm welcome I will definitely need the support of this forum to conquer this - and once my health insurance kicks in from my new job (in 2 months) I am going to try to find a counselor so I can deal with my overeating before it does more damage than it already has.
