Hi Everyone
Hi I found this site searching the web last night. I recently turned 40 and feel like it's now or never. I lost 70 lbs a few years back and have regained it all and then some. I need to lose about 80 lbs, I don't have the nerve to get on the scale until I start tomorrow. I could really use some friends for support and give some in return:hug: I really feel my weight is starting to take a toll on my body, knees especially, but I just can't do it alone this time. This may sound silly, but I feel embarrassed to get out there walking as I feel everyone is saying, look at her ,fat again. I find I don't want to go out like I used to and I don't want to spend my life that way. I really think this site can help me:carrot: I hope to make friends here:)

Hi Reena... so glad you found us! Yeah, lots of us here understand the old "yo yo" thing. But yes! This site CAN help; I honestly feel I could not have lost the weight I have without my great friends here! They help to keep me encouraged (and hopefully vice versa) and make it fun. :wel3fc:
Oh and to you too babygirl! Just noticed you are also new! Glad you are here too! And I'd like to personally invite you to the GREATEST support group ever.. the 300+ and Ready to Try Again group. http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=124 Try the numbered threads... the number changes often so I can't post a direct link... but that's where to find the main chat! Hope to see you there. |
I'm a reborn newbie
I can't spend too much time as I'm about to get ready for my day.
I was a part of this message board several years back and during my fourth pregnancy. After having number four, I was no longer looking to lose weight for a while. Then last year I lost 30 pounds on my own and now have gained 20 of that back. So I'm here to start agian. No more babies for me. I have four under eight. I will make a longer intro later. Welcome to all of you and I hope you find what you are looking for. Maybe we can team up with each other. I have 70 pounds to go. Have a blessed day. |
Hi Reena,
I too am approaching 40 (hit 39 this year so that's close enough!LOL) and have done the regain thing. I lost 85 pounds about 6 years ago and have since then had another baby (who is two now) and still have a good fifty pounds to lose for a comfortable weight. I would love to give/receive some support/competition/encouragement/yadda, yadda, yadda! No more excuses. Let's do this. |
Hi,
I know what it feels like to be emabarrased by weight. Over the last year I have slowly been isolating myself more and more because I hate allowing people to see me since my most recent weight gain (about 40lbs in the past year) Its now begun to effect my relationship and want very much to get a grip on things. It is nonetheless a very overwhelming task but I know it can be a little easier with support. I wish you all the best...Im here if you need anything. jenn |
Hi and welcome to each of the new people. Congrat's on getting started.
Reena, I was 45 when I started losing weight this time and it was now or never for me too. It can be done, that is for sure. Don't worry about what others think,, I was out there walking with 90 lbs. to lose and I just did it. I had lost 90lbs. before and had gained 87 of it back. So, I can definitely empathize with that . Wishing you the best of success. |
