I'm brand new at this!
 
:carrot: I'm totally new at this posting thing, in fact, this is the first post on any forum that I've ever made. This seemed like a really good weight-loss site though, and I thought I'd participate.
I've been on a diet for about a month, not any particular diet, just cutting the calories (trying for about 1400/day), journaling my food intake and exercising about 3x a week. So far it's going good. I'm at 173 pounds today and would like to lose about 25 more pounds. I'm 5'10" and until I got married six years ago weighed between 135-140 (I know, I was pretty thin). The weight has crept on and my heaviest was about 182. My main struggle is my voracious sweet-tooth, once I start with sweets it's so hard to quit eating them...:stress:

im new too. I though this is a great site to keep myself on track.. I have been a diet before and lost 30 pounds but since ive been off ive gained it all back.. I realize know its a lifestyle change i need to do.. Ive been doing it for a week know... i joined a gym and have been goin every day... im ready to make a premanent change in my life... for the best... i currently weight 255 and hope to lose 100lbs... i will be happy weighin in at 160

im doin... leg Estension, Leg Curl, Chest Press, Seated Row, Shoulder Press, tricep extensions, bicep curls abdominal crunches... all about 3 sets of 10 - 12 reps, i just started... thats what the instructor gave me to do... and i havent done it at all this week... i feel so guilty.. but im not goin to miss another day this week.. im goin back to the gym after work today... ive only done it for a week and i feel so much better... with so much energy... I find myself walking back and forth i cant sit down for a long period of time with out getting up... This is shocking considering im a big couch potatoe... lol
